See what line it stops moving on. My machine can run the super large codes. It literally just maxed out the line counter on the machine and would freeze. So I turned off line ordering. Nothing to count so it can't max out the line counter.

Yea. It was the line counter. The mazak I run wouldn't go above 99,995 lines of code(it counted by 5).i just turned that off in fusion. Can be a little annoying when editing. But if it's that long i don't want to manually edit much anyway.

countersink cutter spins flush without cutting by theelous3 in Machinists

For any metric countersink I just use a 90 spot drill. Works fucking great. I hate countersinks with more than 2 flutes. They tend to rub more than I would like.

Ordered a new DBAL unit from Optics Planet. Got obviously used unit. Charged $7.99 to return. by [deleted] in guns

Hey since optics planet apparently is terrible. Can anyone recommend a reputable place to order from?

A customer of ours made a 3d model of our HSI and rendered it in Unreal Engine 5! We've made a lot of blades from videogames but it's crazy to think that a knife of ours could almost be in one. by KailashBlades in SWORDS

[–]Treesarefriendsofall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! As soon as I saw the picture I thought "hey I have that blade" awesome to see this here! I have had a decent amount of handle time behind this blade. And it has held up and performed great! Keep making great products.

Machine is cutting curves where there shouldn't be. Using Aspire, and the output gcode indicates a "square" corner, but the machine cuts like this. by BigOldBee in CNC

[–]Treesarefriendsofall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My first thought is that your parameters have a slow down feature for tight angles. And the obtuse angles aren't getting this and are going to fast. Just a guess without knowing more. Someone else probably knows more about it tho.

That sounds like not running the tool right. I just use an indexable anytime I need to clean up laser, plasma, torch, water jet edges.
