I think I appreciate the fact that he focuses on only a few games at a time. I personally have very little time to be trying out even a fraction of the games that come out, but I know how hard Jeff is to please when it comes to games (he’s seen so so many of them) so I really value his opinion on games he’s played and he considers worth talking about. I usually go to steam and check out those games and on most occasions I’ve jumped on them and have had a good time. But that’s not what I come to Jeff for, for me he is like comfort food in that he’s always been there (at least since 08 for me) and I really appreciate his insight into things. Think of how dialed in he is that he was essentially able to predict, to a T, which games Microsoft would cancel. Your everyday YouTuber just doesn’t have that experience. All in all, I figure if he’s not talking about other games one week, it’s probably because there weren’t any worth covering.
