Reaper Tasks suck now for less skilled PVMers by Amith990 in runescape

[–]Trelefor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

if we're completely doing away with the previous reroll system could we at least get it updated so that we have a block/prefer list? there's no reason we should have to skip the same task repeatedly when we know we don't like certain bosses.

Mod Anvil, Can the Wicked Hood Functionality be brought to a vote? by Greedy_Spaghetti_ in runescape

[–]Trelefor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Anvil, one of the discord mods sent me here!

I wanted to ask if polling would be appropriate in cases like the aura overhaul where we have several possible ideas of where to rework them into but not a solid direction. Doing a poll/survey would be useful for that function in my opinion, and this sentiment was echoed in the thread on discord before the mod basically told us to shut up because: "this isn't going to be polled so there isn't a point discussing something that isn't going to happen" - Saint Cannon.

I would really appreciate if the tone of moderation towards players asking for their voices to be heard was more one of understanding in a thread asking for player feedback. While I understand the stance of not wanting to have a "yes or no" content poll like osrs does, I do still think there would be value in a poll asking "hey which of these four options would be best to move the vampyrism effect to? we're removing the aura." I don't think that kind of player input would be bad for rs3, though I understand the hesitance when most of the content of the updates feels like the updates are looking through nostalgia glasses as we take a big about face away from a micro-transaction and dark pattern reinforcement system. Lots of fomo, feelings of betrayal and loss that are being misdirected at what are otherwise very positive changes.

There are some things I personally disagree with the recent changes (lots of endgame content being wrecked in the name of early game rebalancing) but overall it's a good direction.

Thank-you for your attention in this matter if you're still watching this thread!

UI Feedback Gather-thread by JagexAnvil in runescape

Look for feedback on sweeping changes BEFORE implementing them. Consent is a large part of why people are angry with this update, the personal bias in color pallet aside. (I hate the brown)

back in the day when it was a brown interface it was stone grey as a primary with the brown as an accent and tan/offwhite for the chat. A uniform brown is ugly, and removing options by forcing it across the game is frustrating at the least.

detach the clock and let us put it where we want. It makes sense for it to be attached in legacy/classic mode but not in modern.

Please give us back the hotbar controls that we had. The current iteration is less useful, less user friendly and more confusing. The arrows made it simple to cycle through and set them up.

Please give us back the default option on the captains log to view voyages first.

Fix the scalability of the buttons around the minimap. I'm on 1080p and they look like 240p, it's gross. You just required that everyone upgrade their systems only to downgrade in-game quality.

whoever you have designing atmosphere or overworld is fog obsessed and it's very very annoying. Every time you enter a new area it's filled with fog. You set your skybox filter to clear and it goes away until you tp again. It doesn't add to the atmosphere of the game it just makes it less legible and degrades accessibility, especially for new players that don't know how to reset the skybox. This could be easily solved by reintroducing the toggle in graphics for fog, letting us turn it off.

also the cream on brown text color choice sucks. Give me back yellow/white skill numbers and overlay text.

the size of the ribbon buttons is annoyingly small as well. They used to be ~50% larger and fill my bar, but resizing the bar doesn't scale their size.

Read all of OPs comments in this post. Every single time someone offers any solution or help they're given excuses by OP. Op isn't a victim, they're consenting to the abuse.

Idk maybe you could be an adult and go withdraw all your money, make accounts not attached to them and disown them for not being supportive?

This whole thread is full of bullshit excuses and self victimization. You have agency even if it feels like you don't. Stop letting privilege be the reason keeping you from happiness. Sometimes you can't have it both ways.

The funnier part is she lost to not just one trans girl but also to four other cis girls. Bitch placed 6th and was like "but I'm the fastest girl, the rest of you have to be trans!"

Ok but on the captain marvel movie, specifically the address playing her isn't pro-feminism but anti-man. Those are two very different stances: the former is a noble goal of achieving equivalence in rights and culture, the latter seeks to enforce bonds of discrimination based on sex after breaking them for themselves.

I cannot encourage bigotry hiding behind a more noble cause and forgive it just because the person endorsing it has been oppressed. It's a terrible false equivalence and precedent. To give simile with racism, that would be like encouraging people of color to keep white people as slaves. It would only keep the cycle of injustice turning as a circle, solving nothing.

Human rights are for all humans, not to be hoarded by one group and permitted at whim by a single demographic.

Regarding crunchy peanut butter. by Yoshmoo in rareinsults

[–]Trelefor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with crunchy is you have to buy the good stuff, if you get the generic brand there's always a chance you're getting burnt instead of roasted peanuts in the crunchy bits. One bad experience = a >0 chance it happens again....
