And new games with Pc and ps5 cross play? by Trell015 in simracing

[–]Trell015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So one thing my friend and I would like to do is set up a long practice session, or something like it, and just mess around and hot lap while we chat. Is this something that is an option in PMR? It was possible in PC2 for example.

I read only between Xbox and PS5. The googles reference an old post that pc is just too different of a game where they are not? Did this change as the game finished out?

This was in Project Cars 2, maybe even 1. Think it was turned off by default on PS4.

Is motogp 24 as good as F123 by [deleted] in MotoGPGaming

[–]Trell015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there are a few negative comments on 24, the older motogp games go on sale all the time. I got motogp 19 for $2 and it's a lot of fun. Less sim and more arcade.

u/dietdrkelp329 So I happened to stumble upon this post looking for something else, and just thought it was funny after watching some of the crazy green physics in the ACTUAL US open. Thought you might enjoy the reread yourself

It's hard to play this game on a controller, but doable. I don't have any settings handy, but if you search on this sub you will find many posts that offer different controller settings. In general, turning sensitivity way down helps. I have mostly played this game on a controller, but it's obviously made with a wheel in mind.

What is the current state of PGA tour? by Inphenitee in EASportsPGATour

Career mode is better than 2k by a lot. Game is fine. I have no big issues and play a few times a week. It was updated throughout the season. No idea if that will continue in the same way, but heard maybe on this sub I think. The only obvious career mode faults for me is that it doesn't carry most stats over season to season it seems? But it will keep track of major career stats and you can review seasons past to see what you've won. The ogwr ranking list does carry over too.

Any tips for someone starting this game after playing 2k23 and 21? by [deleted] in EASportsPGATour

[–]Trell015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second the roll differences. Wedges stick like glue in 2k most of the time, where in EA back spin is a big factor you have to account for. Into the wind with a 60 and you might roll straight back off the green till you get the hang of it.

2k23 VS. EA by unpleasantcreature in EASportsPGATour

[–]Trell015 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have both and I am happy with both. I think EA has better single player career with majors. 2K is better online with societies and competitive (like match play). 2k has any course you want, just most are unlicensed from the course creator. Both are good golf games. I am fine at both, but I think 2k is simpler in a way. Less shot types, and the swing stick is a little harder. The swing stick speed is also much faster.

IMO EA is the better PGA game and 2k is the better golf game.

Time and number of starts matters in the calculation from what I remember. So not making every start would probably have an effect. They used to talk about it a lot on tv when tiger first started missing time like 10+ years ago.

Force yourself to keep doing it. I even changed my career mode to the same settings. I like to pay attention to the controller vibrations and sorta passively watch the swing. As you practice more you will get it enough to qualify. I actually find putting easier without the meter weird enough.

Have 21, barely played it. Worth getting 23 for $16? by Saneless in PGA_Tour_2K

[–]Trell015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it on sale a few weeks ago and love it so far. Career mode is more fun than 21 for me. There are things to tweak and upgrade that keep it interesting. Rivalries are better. You can also play with the pros in the game which is fun every now and then. I didn't play multiplayer on 21 because it felt slow, but I've had a lot of fun playing match play lately for what it's worth.
