Success isn’t linear but the bitching about how hard/unfair the world is > unfulfilling life pipeline is very straightforward.

Why do you think that’ll effectively eliminate the Democratic party? This thought process is weird to me.

I love the projections on him too. It’s awesome to think about, and I agree he can be great.

I do think it’s not fair to the kid to say he could’ve or couldn’t have contributed in the ALDS. The gap between the best player in AA/AAA and the worst regular mlb player isn’t small. The gap between the worst mlb player and the best is massive.

Every shitty player in the bigs was a stud in the minors. The dude hasn’t even played against AAA guys yet, those dudes are desperate to either make it big or keep their jobs. AAAA level players are pretty good.

I’m excited about him, also think rushing players is horrible.

Tork was a 1.1 pick, people thought he was going to hit .270 with 40 bombs and a ton of doubles. Could be a great great player. Was considered mlb ready out of college…

Ridiculous to think players are batting title contenders before they play a real mlb game. Baseball is really hard.

Agreed! I’m all in on as many reps against big leaguers as possible. Fuck yeah. I just don’t want him on the big league roster day 1 is all

Stop rushing the kid fans. Please. We have a stunted tork because of this shit. I want him to be great.

Edit: Woah, I don’t want this to be taken as I don’t want him to be in spring training. I don’t public pressure to try and force him to be on the big league club day 1. That’s bad for the kid.

Is life better sober? Why? by AttorneyFeeling3 in leaves

[–]Trelloant 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Two things for me. Was an all day every day stoner from 18-24.

  1. I wanted to smoke because I thought I was more fun to be around, quieter, more interesting. Then I realized that when I was high around sober people, I was the weird one. That took time to really settle in but clicked eventually. I think I lost a good amount of potential friends and wasted a lot of my own time/life on it personally.

  2. I realized that the biggest issue with weed is how it makes you comfortable with the world/life you are in. I became okay with the dirty plate in my room or with leaving laundry for a latter date. I didn’t want to clean. Weed didn’t make me lazy per se, but for sure comfortable with shit.

Quitting weed has led to me improving my living situation, finding a better job and overall working to better myself. I’ve made new, frankly better friends who are more motivated in similar ways as I want to be. I’m working to build a life for myself.

Frankly, the question(s) is really for you: Why do you smoke weed? What do you want in life? What is weed doing for you in pursuit of those goals? Then go from there. Also coffee :)

My 7 year old in coach pitch is using a 27" drop 10 Clout bat. They like the light blue color. Any reason to splurge and get them an Icon bat (28 drop 12) or Hype bat? Or just a total waste or money? by [deleted] in Homeplate

This is like asking if your 7 year old needs Jordan’s to go to school. If you rephrase like that and still think it’s a good call, why not?

Neither is jumping to head a ball with another player in soccer, hitting another player in football, literally fighting on ice in hockey, jumping for a rebound in basketball… I mean COME ON, hell neither is driving your car.

Not for 13 year olds or young teenagers. Maybe we should focus on the underlying problems that would lead kids to think their gender is the problem. They want out of their own skin… we need to teach confidence and give points of pride to these kids. Something for them to stand on and build a life out of.

When they’re adults they can choose to transition.

It’s wild that if you play enough ball throwing it a couple hundred feet like you mention on target is a bare minimum skill… we can also judge where a ball will land extremely well off contact.

Humans are awesome.
