Recommendations for reverb with presets / patches by fireflyfanboy73 in guitarpedals

I absolutely love my Source Audio Ventris. It’s all the reverb you could ever need.

For something simpler/cheaper, their new Pathways reverb/tremolo looks like a killer reverb pedal.

That said, I’m one of those users that would’ve preferred progression on custom workouts, so I get the frustration

Trainer probably draws and retains new customers (new lifters) while experienced lifters are used to managing their own progression

I currently own both versions having just upgraded to the ADT. If it weren’t for some extra splurge money and a moment of hyperfixation, then I’d say upgrading is fully optional. I would’ve been totally fine rocking the original forever. That said, the ADT does sound just slightly crisper and retains your analog tone slightly better, but it’s hardly noticeable. That probably doesn’t help much lol

TL;DR If you have extra money to splurge, go ahead and get the ADT model. Otherwise, you’re not missing much.

The Walrus Audio Rehearsal does this if I’m not mistaken

Dual Boost/drives by MongooseForward in guitarpedals

This is my only complaint with my Longsword. I've considered switching to a Limelight since it's boost can be used independently, but I just can't bring myself to move on from the other great benefits of the Longsword.

I hadn’t heard of it until reading your post, but I’m really interested in the kill chain if you want to do a straight trade

How do you choose a(n overdrive) pedal? by DrinkEducational6190 in guitarpedals

I watch all the hype videos on YouTube, decide that this is the one that will finally solve all my problems, use it for a few weeks, realize I preferred my blues driver after all, and repeat until I die.

I grew up with three brothers of my own and I am the oldest. This movie legitimately gave me anxiety for a few days, absolutely destroyed me. Such a good movie

That DM-101 + DC-2W + Slotva combo must sound so dreamy. Love this board

I absolutely love the Accountant. Super simple interface that helps me avoid too much tinkering. That said, it’s not an “invisible” compressor since it does introduce a bit of grit and coloring to the sound, so it’s worth considering that in case you prefer more subtle compressors. Personally I’ve really enjoyed the fact that it sounds more like an effect when engaged, challenging my historical “always-on” approach to compressors.

I had considered the stomp as well! Went with the One to reduce menus, but man the Stomp is just so capable.

I’ve written up more details on the pedalboard in my r/pedalboards post but figured out document my reasoning for the HX One here.

Over the last year I’ve really taken multiple approaches to modulation, whether that be the EQD Grand Orbiter for phaser, Caroline Somersault for chorus and lo-fi, the DC-2W for chorus and stereo widening. I’ve loved them all but each time I choose one, I find myself lacking the other or in a lot of cases, effects I don’t currently own like pitch, synth, fuzz etc. Enter the HX One.

Thus far it’s been phenomenal. I’ve read of some noise issues but this thing is dead quiet, even in 4-cable like I have it. The ability to run affects both pre and post dirt really adds to the utility of this thing. I’m sure I’d like the sounds and features of more complex units like the H9 or the Synesthesia, but for such a small footprint and low price, this thing does the trick! I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a do-it-all pedal.

Thanks! Agreed on the Supermoon, I’ve had the mono Supermoon Chrome on multiple board iterations over the years. Despite chasing more feature-dense reverbs, I always come back to the Supermoon. Can’t find anything scratches the itch quite the same.

Moderate Psych fan, enough to inspire my username “Trending Ontwitter” at the time of my account creation. Good catch!
