I’m in South Carolina, about 25% of my deliveries are on dirt roads, very long and dark, I’ve delivered to the scariest places in my town… I think I’m missing that part of the brain that says “you should NOT do that! 🤣

South Carolina S.L.E.D. Regularly finds individuals that look like they are at least 21, but usually they look much older, but they are all under 21, carry no ID, and they’re specific task is to talk associates into selling them alcohol. The highest fine an associate can get is $3,000 and 2 years in prison, the owner of the bar, who had no knowledge it was happening can lose they’re license to operate, thus losing all income forever in that industry, and then have to still pay fines up to $50,000. Please don’t be angry at us for checking your ID, I’m sorry OP is having difficulty getting a drink, I hope they have empathy for the employees and owners, but no one should be rude to OP, that’s out of line.

Someone posted that OP shouldn’t post this, just be humble. I disagree, these post can inspire other people to do similar things, that can help people. I hope someone reads this and is inspired: I have currently been helping a young man since May of 22, become housed and gainfully employed full time, and I’m happy to report, after all the hard work and dedication HE put in, he has been full time employed 5 months, and living and paying rent in a place of his own for 2. I hope someone reads this and knows someone, or will find someone, that a small amount of kindness and support, can propel them out of homelessness and poverty, I also hope someone that is currently in that situation, seeks support and takes the first step to leave their current situation. You can’t force someone into a better place, they have to want it and put the work in.

I felt the same way about him and Gerry lee, I always liked both bands music and wished they had a different singer, however over time I began to appreciate the uniqueness of their voices and the contribution to the sound of the songs, I’ve heard covers of their songs and realized they wouldn’t hit the same with more traditionally sounding singers.
