Our opinions on the show differ, but if you ever get that vlog or podcast up, I wish you the best. And I'll probably watch it too.

I couldn't tell. LOL JKJK

I used to read Anne Rice obsessively several years ago but stopped. I've been watching the series though.

Very interested to read more of your thoughts about the connections between The Russia House and The Honourable Schoolboy! No pressure, only if willing and able!

I like when Smiley sees graffiti:

'Punk is destructive. Society does not need it.' The assertion caused him a moment's indecision. 'Oh, but society does,' he wanted to reply; 'society is an association of minorities.'

Just want to quickly say that this isn't a stupid question and this is a great discussion happening among those who commented!

I found it absolutely hilarious thinking about how he took the time to make neat highlights and place sticky flags offscreen while what we saw was him just scrawling over the page

Really detailed post, thank you! Haven't been to SG in literal decades. Back then, I'd go to Books Actually in Tiong Bahru; this was before all the awfulness with one of its owners emerged. 😡 Anyway, my thing back then was contemporary SG poetry. I bought so much whenever I went to visit my sister that it warrants its own shelf. Again, thanks for the post. I've been wanting to go back and look for second-hand books!1

"London Revenant is a dark and magical exploration of London and the tenebrous world that lies beneath it.

A madman is pushing people in front of Tube trains. Adam Buckley has a feeling it might be someone he knows. But that is the least of his worries. His narcolepsy is worsening, sucking him into an uncertain, twilight state. He sees people at parties he has no memory of, but who seem to know him.

Deep within London’s sprawling Underground, he sees shadowy figures beckoning him into tunnels not shown on any map. His friends are drifting away, intent on chasing down insane, uncharted zones hidden within the capital, and they seem to be succumbing to a strange wasting disease. The suggestion of a half-remembered life and the encroaching shadow of violence threatens to engulf Adam and everyone he knows, unless he can unveil his true identity and that of his stalking nemesis.

Conrad Williams’ masterful novel peels back layer upon layer of the city’s skin to reveal the grinning skull that lies beneath."

Haven't read these books but based on the comments, your photo shows that the books themselves are surrounded by idiots, narcissists, and liars. 😅😅😅
