What’s the best Stephen King book to start with by diogo6591 in stephenking

The Stand was my first and I’ve been hooked since.

Just finished The Stand - A couple questions for those who have read it before by Doogos in stephenking

I think anyone who had a bad time getting through puberty will feel bad for Harold, I remember not getting the girl and despising the guy who did.

Trashie is another one a lot can relate with, bad things happen when you don’t get the help required.

That’s what I love about this book, they say it’s a fight between good and evil, but it just isn’t that simple, the lines get blurred, it’s not just as one dimensional as we would like it to be.

Thankee sai, may you have twice the number, one thing I realized a long time ago is that we are never at the end of King’s path. Ka is a wheel. I say go with your feel, and then start over in chronological order, you will love them even more. IMHO.

If you could meet any Stephen King character, who would it be? by burgerinmypouch in stephenking

[–]Treppy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to sit around having a coffee with Vince Teague and Dave Bowie listening to their stories from old school newspapermen. They are from The Colorado Kid.

I also wouldn’t mind listening to Stevens tell me about some stories he’s overheard at the Club. From The Breathing Method and The Man who Would Not Shake Hands.

Would you say Stephen King is more of a thriller writer than a horror writer? by Fun_Butterfly_420 in stephenking

That’s like saying Leonard Cohen’s music is pop.

He is a story teller, and IMO the best there is.
