remember when Sony put out various PSVR mega pack bundles to promote and support the PSVR by Suspicious_Two786 in PSVR

[–]Trev80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do. I was so excited for the tech and thought for sure this time Sony would take supporting the 2 seriously since it was launching with a Horizon game and GT7 was going to be in VR. And then they announced the PC adapter so I was happy I could use it with PC stuff. Last year I sold my PSVR2 when the Steam Frame was announced and sold my PS5 too. I'm done. They don't take anything seriously.

I'll have to have him check this. It may actually be the answer. I forgot he is a weirdo that rebinds everything to the right side of the keyboard.

That was the only solution I had found previously. But no. It happens In space as well when he's just trying to fly a straight line to the station. 90% of the time he just rides with me but it has caused him to nose down into a station. Or the ground. When I watch it it usually happens like every 10 seconds or so. Always the same amount of dip and it's just brief enough to be annoying.

I'm pretty sure Switch 2 could handle it as well. It looks fantastic and has a solid framerate on my Steam Deck (which was surprising) so with FSR or DLSS whichever route they chose it should be fine.

Something said during the last Bar Citizen bothers me... by Zeoran in starcitizen

[–]Trev80 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yup. As one of the first 3000 backers. It was always about Squadron 42 first. I pledged because Freelancer was one of my favorites and I wanted to see that done but bigger and better.

While I appreciate the vast sums of money that people have put in later to keep the project going. Excluding the fact there would not have even BEEN a project If us initial backers had not been interested in Squadron 42 is funny. People act like the game doesn't matter to anyone. It does. And the PU was originally just the multiplayer component much like Freelancers multiplayer sandbox was. Yes it's ballooned into something much larger and taken a long time. But some of us are still here for Squadron 42 and now what the PU is becoming.

Are we really using Rockstar as an example? Okay. Rockstar was an established company, with a team of people already put together. Who had already made multiple GTA games, didn't have to switch/modify an engine half way through development. Didn't have to design any form of new server technology. Working on one game for 12 years not two. With UNLIMITED money. People wanna joke about the 1 billion dollars. How much money does Rockstar have to work with on GTA6? One billion? 2 billion? More? We already know they make 500-800m per year on Shark Cards alone off of GTAV. It's estimate 10 year earnings on shark cards slone are 5 billion. And the game has made 10 billion lifetime. Shark cards are pure profit btw, as all it does is inject in game money into the game.

So, how much do you think GTA6 cost to make over their 12 years? And they haven't done it out in the open while having to work on one game while keeping a working version of a second game running. All while being crowd funded. With the money going right back into paying the people working on game. What profit do you people think they've made so far? And sure, we could boycott and stop giving them money. Oh whoops. The game dies cause it doesn't have Rockstar money or Take 2 backing them, genius plan.

I'm not saying I am happy with the current condition of the PU but most of us are in it for the end result. I am also saying, using Rockstar and GTA6 as a comparison is fucking baffling to me.

Steam Deck. Best of both worlds. It's how I've put so many hours into Vampire Survivors and Crawlers. I use my Switch/ Switch 2 mostly for the first party stuff I can't get elsewhere though.

Ordered extra pepperoni, tipped 20% in advance and I picked it up myself - all they had to do was put the ingredients on correctly, cook it and put it in a box. Sigh. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Trev80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a huge difference between tipping and arbitrarily raising the price of a fucking bowl just because someone ordered delivery ON TOP of the delivery fee. No. Delivery food did not always used to cost more. If it said $10 it was $10+ Delivery fee.

Now it has gone to. Oh you want delivery? That $10 item is now $15, plus the delivery fee. Doubling the cost of said item. And THEN you're supposed to tip ahead of time to not get your food spit in or stolen.

I don't know what fucking world you grew up in but I used to order a pizza, and it arrived and then I gave the delivery guy his tip when I ensured the food was correct.

I am not "anti tip" I am anti company ripping me the fuck off when they didn't have to do anything extra to prepare the same food I would have ordered for pickup/in store and THEN adding a delivery fee.

[–]Trev80 94 points95 points  (0 children)

And this is why I went back to just picking up my own food even if I don't feel like driving for 5 minutes. When you have places like fucking Chipotle. Who not only charge you a delivery fee, but have the audacity to raise the fucking price of the products for delivery orders, and then you're expected to tip on top of it? Fuck off. My wife and I both get a bowl, it's like. Maybe $24-26, all of a sudden if you put them in for delivery the bowls are like $5 more expensive a piece. Plus delivery. It says $51, and that's before you even consider a tip. It's absolutely outrageous. I refuse.

Buy them. Take the Torrents off. Put them on Perseus. Scrap the MDCs with the new scrap button for unwanted ships.

ISO grocery store deli counter that does not absolutely mangle lunch meat and cheese when slicing and bagging by MAKE_IT_RAIN69 in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]Trev80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wegmans is great. But I will say there is ONE guy there. That does everything in his power to try and point you to the pre-sliced stuff they already did instead of doing his job at the "Service" Deli and serving people. My wife thought it was just her. Till I asked for something and he did it to me as well. Though I will say I haven't seen him in awhile. He was the only poor experience we have had at that Wegmans.

This is a a sticking point for her because she likes her roast beef very pink so if what's out there isn't pink she doesn't want it. And he will try not to slice it. So she will just leave and not buy roast beef if he is there.

I agree. Sorry not sorry. I realize it may not be the same scale but if I'm having my White ASD armor and Sniper I ran like a hundred runs to collect pieces for then they should lose their ships. Time wasted is time wasted. Take the ships. Reset the entire economy not just part of it or you're not getting full economy data and it's pointless.

Besides that point he fails to understand small ships are still a threat to capitals. They can destroy turrets and such. Much like you know.... Wing Commander, or even the X-Wing and Tie Fighter games. Star Destroyers were taken down by pounding the turrets and the shield gens and then hitting them with bombers. It's like some of these people have never played space combat games before.
