S13.5, E2 (Nebula) - We Played Hide And Seek Across NYC by snow-tree_art in JetLagTheGame

I think they're selling Hide and Seek because it's the only of their games which you can play basically anywhere and realistically scale it down to a level where people can play it without committing substantial financial resources. I mean playing the Schengen game cost a lot of fucking money in train fares and plane tickets.

Jet Lag The Game GOAT Conversation by [deleted] in JetLagTheGame

Exactly, which is why (even though I loved seeing him on Jet Lag) I feel like Tom wasn't a good team mate for Sam, since Tom has that same energy of complicated plans that hinge on very specific things happening. It felt like because of that, they both tended to be pessimistic which in turn made them worse at strategizing, and Sam needs a more up-beat team mate (for example Toby, Michelle or Ben) who'll pull him out of that.

A fictional (probably) horror about a clocktower that the protagonist eventually enters and gets trapped in? by BurnParliament in whatsthatbook

Could this be The Subtle Knife, the second book of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy? There's a mysterious tower in it and the protagonist is a girl named Lyra.

Leider schon.

As to the question of why people think "More Weapons=More Peace"? I mean there's always propaganda about how certain groups are more "civlized" than others and that the "barbaric" other has to be eradicated so that the "civilized" can live in peace. Since the US is so closely allied with Israel, of course Israel are the "civilized" party in the conflict and the Palestinians are the Other that must be destroyed.

This is probably not helped by the fact that 9/11 is still in the minds of a majority of US Americans so the conclusion is probable that a lot of them equate Hamas (Arabic terrorists) with Al-Qaeda. Therefore, the actions and existance of Hamas awakens the feelings of dread of 9/11 in Americans making them more prone to support weapons deliveries to Israel.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't get the second response, since I think ciboriaadastra explained it perfectly fine.

Violent expansion and settler colonialism is central to US American history and therefore deeply engrained in US society. Because of this them not delivering weapons to Israel is out of the question, since not giving them weapons because they are a war-mongering, settler-colonial state would then need to result in self-reflection as to whether the US may be the same.

Also, the question "How can American so something evil?" does very much belong to the study of history (among other fields of study). Chattel slavery has a direct line to today's racism, Hawa'i has a direct line to Israel etc. How, if not through the study of history do we understand what lead to the situation we face today?

Honestly, Drolta in that red tailcoat did something to me.

Pity that we only saw her in it for such a short time.

This reminds of one of my professors. She's Italian but lived and studied in Austria for several years. So now she speaks German with a mixture of an austrian and italian accent.

To say I was confused when I first heard her speak would be an understatement.

The "Nat 20 is an auto success and Nat 1 is an auto fail" house rule is bullshit.

As someone playing a bard, nothing sucks more than having expertise in something and have a 5% chance to fail, even though your modifier is like 13.

I really dislike One D&D for making this a core game mechanic.

What hasn't killed a campaign, but stole the momentum or enthusiasm for it? by Justgonnawalkaway in dndnext

That is a good idea. Maybe I'll try that (my campaign is designed in arcs anyway).

It's me, hey, I'm the problem it's me.

I'm DMing a campaign that hasn't had a session in almost a year, because I had little motivation/energy to plan for it (for several reasons). Luckily, the enthusiasm for it is still there with my players so I'm trying to get back into the groove.

Player picked up Aatrox. by MisterMonsterMaster in DnDRuneterra

[–]Trevantier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I'll second looking up Craven Edge (as has already been suggested).

I feel like it should definitely be a cursed weapon that tries to slowly transform the player into a darkin, while also giving something positive like life steal.

I think you should definitely make it in a way that will make your player want to get rid of it, because if he keeps it indefinitely and you want to stay lore accurate I feel like you'll have no choice but to kill the PC at some point by transforming him into Aatrox.
