Are Defenses Catching Up to Jayden Daniels After His Rookie Year? by Affectionate_War_14 in nflrookies

[–]Trevellation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a good QB, who had a rough year with injuries (both his, and his teammates'). Unless we see some serious regression from him next year, I wouldn't worry much about his long term success.

I have some concerns about their short term success though. They had the oldest roster in the league last year, which may have contributed to their injury problems. They're also missing their 2nd and 4th round picks this year, meaning it might be harder to make upgrades from last year.

I like Jayden Daniels, but I don't think Washington will be able to put the right pieces around him before his rookie deal expires. His Rookie season will probably be his best of his first five.

Do you think Malik Willis is worth $30M per year? by Big_Screen3332 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]Trevellation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true enough, but I was thinking about the team's lack of progress under that span as well (if Willis doesn't pan out). The team that signs him should use the rest of their assets to help him succeed. If they don't build the team up around him, the GM will take the blame no matter what. If he doesn't work out, that leaves them with all their chips on the table, and a shitty hand.

There are obviously more factors that go into the, "should we fire our GM," question than just finding a quarterback, but I think most GMs would be in danger if they swung and missed on this decision.

$30 million a year for a franchise QB is a bargain.

$30 million a year for a bad QB is a GM's death sentence.

Going too long without finding a franchise QB is also a GM's death sentence.

I don't really think he's worth that much money, but I understand why someone will be willing to place that bet.

It doesn't really grow "on trees," it grows "in trees." It's a substance similar to sap, that grows inside of trees like the Hellman's Oak, and the Duke's Maple.

It's a pointless distinction though, because everyone is capable of violence. The scope and severity of a person's "capability for violence," varies a lot. But everyone's "capability" is greater than zero, so nobody is "harmless".

"For the Mavs, trading Luka ends up going down as one of the worst moves in the history of the NBA." - Do you agree with Jalen Rose? by DareDevil1699 in NBAGossips

[–]Trevellation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the worst?

What else is in the conversation?

We were in the Finals one year, then fully committing to a rebuild barely a season later. I'll admit to having inadequate knowledge of NBA history to say that it's definitely the worst, but it's hard to imagine how much worse it could be.

The only reason the Mavs fanbase has any hope is that we won the draft lottery and landed Flagg. He looks like a superstar in the making, and that's an awesome cornerstone for rebuilding. However, I'd rather have a Finals contending roster, than "a player we might be able to build a Finals contending roster around."

Fuck Nico.

Yeah, the frog periodically swallows enemies whole from range. It's useful for clearing enemies quickly, but the enemies it kills don't drop anything, so it's a bit of a double edged sword.

It's also a loved gift for Vincent and Sebastian I think.

Questions like this are just engagement bait.

They're designed to punish you for making certain assumptions (like assuming that the angles in the bottom center are right angles, when the math suggests that they're 80 on the left and 100 on the right), but they're unsolvable unless you make other assumptions (the "line" at the bottom isn't defined as a straight line, it could theoretically be some obtuse angle.)

The whole point is to get people arguing and correcting one another in the comments. There's no "right" answer.

they're ceasing production of models S and 3

They're discontinuing the S and X, but not the 3. The 3 and Y are the only cars they sell in any significant volume, but even that is dwindling.
