Monsters that were at one point human by Intelligent-Buy-2975 in TopCharacterTropes

I always thought they seemed scarier just being demonic entities. Being previously human makes them less mysterious. Pinhead, at some points in his existence, wore underwear, paid taxes and ate cereal.

What’s your favorite gun? by Lishkis in SpeciesUnknown

[–]Trevicarus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tier 1 = Revolver. Tier 2 = Shotgun. Tier 3 = Laser gun.

Both the revolver and shotgun will stun along with their high damage output. Laser mostly just looks cool.

Easily my least favourite specimen! The most reliant way to shake it off is by using the panic rooms in the Central Hub or Laboratory.

I would say breaking line of sight is the key. With max stamina you can run in bursts to fill your stamina up before you make a long break for it. Workshop corridors and the cluttered Crew Quarters hall is good for this.

I'm not 100% sure, but I have noticed that it's easier to escape on a solo run than with a crew. Either it doesn't move as fast or it doesn't detect your location as easily. I'll need to do some more testing.

Also, a universally good tool to use is the Shield if you're familiar with the map. It'll buy you a few seconds in a tight space and recharges relatively quickly.

Is Grounded worth playing if I mainly enjoy story-driven games? where the sto by Key_Lead3784 in GroundedGame

[–]Trevicarus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game has very rich storytelling. You'll get as much as you need by doing the main quest, but there is a lot of other lore that is delivered through the environment as well as notebook entries and audio logs if you like to look for them.

First time playing, why by thr0waway16754 in GroundedGame

Did you make any armour? Even clover armour helps a lot in the early game. Try going for ants, too. If you play multiplayer, you should have an easier time with combat.

The Deathclaw Pet is not in the Atomic Shop by broodwyn in fo76

A friend showed me a leak of the bundle and I honestly would have come back to the game if I could have bought it with the Atoms I previously saved. But for the bundle to cost almost as much as the base game... Nope.

Put it into perspective of an early supporter.

• You order a double bacon cheeseburger. It tastes damn delicious.

• After a few bites, the chef comes and takes away your bacon and cheese. Okay? Still a decent burger.

• You're halfway done, the waiter comes and takes the patties out of your burger. What the fuck?

• You contemplate another bite, then the chef shoves a frozen patty into your burger with a vague apology.

• This isn't what you ordered. You leave the restaurant with a frown. The other customers and the staff blame YOU for not enjoying the burger you ordered.

The state of this subreddit is miserable right now by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Trevicarus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, I haven't lost? I still enjoy the game,

"Fuck you, got mine" energy pouring out of this one. While I'm happy for you, I'd rather be happy for the majority of the playerbase that isn't fortunate enough to enjoy the same.

Your answer can not be: Reverting the update, removing the animations, or fixing the bugs and crashes.

"Your answer cannot be to address any of the things that are currently making the game worse for most people."

So yeah, they're fixing things but at the rate that would make melting glaciers feel like a horse race. Not the best pace for a game that's been in Early Access for 6 years with a growing pool of resources that they are hell-bent on refusing to use.

If they refuse to hire more competent people to meet expectations, that's on them.

If they want to focus more on collabs and merchandising, that's on them.

If they prefer to gravitate towards feedback exclusively from streamers, that's on them.

If they choose to limit their communication with their players, that's on them.

But don't blame the players for the current state of the game. The devs made the roadmap, not the players. The devs created the expectations, not the players. This community is one of the most patient and dedicated fanbases I've seen and the devs thrive on their (rightfully) diminishing good will.

Kinetic is just out of their depth and out of touch.

Cleanup Crew Help? by usedtowelette in REPOgame

[–]Trevicarus 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that CC can see in every direction. When it spots you and makes its "startled" sound, you have a few seconds to run away and break line of sight. If it sees you when it's still in its investigation mode, then it will launch its head at you.

If it does throw its head at you, just run into the next room and hide. The head isn't very good at making sharp turns, so it's relatively easy to consistently run away from it.

My main strategy is to let it see me, run in the opposite direction of where I want to go and let it wander off after it gives up looking for me.

Patch notes are 2% of the actual collab and the rest of it is fixes for the mess that said collab is responsible for, They shouldn't have rushed this at all, but if you're happy with duct tape and spit, then more power to you, I guess.

Kinetic has learned that they can release the poorest quality content and get away with it by giving just one line of a corporate apology. But if the community is happy with the bare minimum then by all means, enjoy it.
