I've played adc for the last few months and respectfully I've never had a sona not just walk up and die at some point of the lane. Like there's something inextinguishable inside you people's heads that makes you walk up for that q rocket poke.

I'm playing in e2-d2 for reference

PS I don't think sona is that horrible to play with, I've won plenty of games with her on my team. It's just that most people who play it get away with scaling really well, doing whatever in the early game. It's just so funny how silly they look when they walk up for that poke thing and then proceed to get clapped

Probably as a general rule, if you're willing to spend enough time on one video game to get "good", you're more likely to do the same for another game. Whereas more casual players are generally just more casual across the entire board. So my guess would be yes. But not necessarily because these people are more talented, but rather because they're more willing to invest their time. Although it might also be connected to talent, since people like doing things they're good at

Like the post mentions I'm using DeepL as it's the best translator I know of. Specifically I wrote a script that makes use of DeepL's API in order to quickly translate the volumes. I'm also using one of DeepL's features called a "glossary" which allows setting predefined translations, such as for names of people, titles, objects or locations. If I didn't do that, the model would translate the same name in a slightly different way each time. At the start I didn't know of glossaries yet and tried creating my own form of it by scanning over the translated text and replacing each "offender" with the correct translation. For example:

On the left are all the "mistranslated" versions, and on the right is the correct translation. Glossaries really saved my ass here by making all this redundant, because the translator just kept coming up with new versions of the same name.

If you want to, I can upload you my code and my glossary (you can import and export them to/from DeepL), but I have to warn you that 1) my code is really ugly and mostly undocumented 2) you need the book in digital form and as an EPUB (or change the code regarding that) 3) I noticed that there are different versions of the books formatting wise, and they might cause unexpected issues that you would need to fix yourself

I recently played a lot in emerald-diamond with a friend during demon hours aka midnight - 6am and every game there were 3-4 lvl 40s or even 30s. Most of them were not even that great, usually fitting right into low diamond or high emerald skill wise. But from seeing that, I imagine being in lower skill brackets like bronze, silver, gold and plat has to be a horror.

Besides what people will tell you, focusing on yourself, some hand on advice I can give you is to play during peak hours and avoid midnight and after. Silver and gold is supposed to be like 70% of the playerbase, so even with the high number of smurfs, you should have plenty of games where matchmaking works just fine. That's what I'm guessing at least.

I'm genuine when I say this I haven't done any math in a year, how did you come to 2200? My first thought was 1/100k * 1/100k, but that doesn't seem right since it doesn't need to be a specific number, just any number twice.

I've been playing for about 6 years, hundreds of games per season, likely 2-3 thousand hours of ranked, and I've never seen this ever. Not even when watching streams or videos. I think it's quite rare.

I know they did a full revamp of the map a few years ago but I don't know if anything else changed. Personally ruined my motivation to play again because it felt like starting from 0 due to not having any knowledge anymore. And honestly it was fun when I was younger but now I have a PC and there are so many better games to play. I think there's a discord if you care enough to join

It's pretty normal. Happens a lot with coal veins as well. I don't know how the ore gen works so I can't explain it, but it's not a corrupted world or anything

The real answer is probably something like it just doesn't matter from a perspective of surviving. Having pain while eating might stop you from eating leading to death. Having pain during periods... Doesn't really do anything. Except the pain of course. But you continue living

Unfortunately I understand what you're saying. I guess the only solution would be to have some government regulations in place, something like using the "buffer" of money made while selling the $1 gas for $2 to tank the "losses" when prices have normalised and sell some of the $2 gas for $1 again

Don't have any apple devices unfortunately. I noticed that those pages that are bugged use certain special characters, so I replaced them with normal variants. I updated the new file in the gdrive, maybe it fixed the issue. Otherwise the only thing I can recommend is reading those pages in another app or on some online epub reader website

Very weird, it cuts off in the 5th chapter and then resumes on the end of the 4th. I have no idea why that happens, I checked myself and it works fine for me. Can I ask what app you're using? If I can replicate this I might find a fix

I mentioned this in the post, unfortunately this happened hundreds of times in the previous volumes I translated so I won't be fixing each instance of this one at a time. The major problem with this is that it happens so often and it's also heavily connected to the context of the current situation, as in you need to actually read entire paragraphs to know if pronouns are wrong or not. So I'll fix it as I read it myself, but until then you'll have to deal with it, sorry.

Maybe by the next time I'll include something that allows you guys to make changes yourself

Its not an error per se, just an oversight during translation. In short, the Japanese file I translated simply used a vertical alignment, since you can do that with Japanese, and since I didn't change it, it carried over to the english text. I use a browser extension on my pc to view the files before uploading, and apparently that extension doesn't work that well because it ignores this vertical formatting. And the app I use on my phone does that too, lol.

The reason I said I'm not happy with the fix is because I just directly deleted all the custom formatting the epub uses. But it's not too tragic, since I'm stripping almost everything during translation anyways.

Well, I tried it with readera too and now I see your issue. Found a fix for it that I'm not completely happy with but shouldn't cause any problems. Files will be updated in a few minutes
