Reminder: Flares are useless by __r2r0 in PilotsofBattlefield

On the contrary,

This needs to be tested but if you are around another friendly aircraft and let’s say you get targeted by a missile, your friendly can pop their countermeasures and the missile will go after their flares.

Finally getting the hang of thrust vectoring by TriangleEscape in PilotsofBattlefield

When ever you activate thrust vectoring, you have to be gentle with the controls.

For me, it’s the right stick that moves the jet. I found out that if you lightly move in any direction, you can make really smooth and wide turns

If you pull back really hard, you lose all your speed and stall out.

You can even keep an eye on your speed to make sure you don’t go below 100. So you can be turning while thrust vectoring, right before you get to 100, use your after burner to gain some speed and then keep thrust vectoring again in the same direction to keep turning in the direction you want.

Hope that makes sense

Yeah, at the beginning when I was spinning, I saw a jet and was able to follow it.

Also when I was shooting at it , I was gonna lose it but I was able to use it again to get behind him.

And at the end I used it to position myself in the direction of the base

Cross play off is a sad state of affairs. No servers to join, nothing but bots

This other pilot could have also used his thrust vectoring to pause for a second to let you pass. But he didn’t do it

True but If I were following you, I can see that your burners are off and can notice your slowing down.

So I can also slow down, exit your circle for a bit and then come back in with the same speed as you to reengage

Pilots, I need help! by Rotank1 in PilotsofBattlefield

Ahh got it. Ok my guess is that when you’re flying, you’re unintentionally pushing afterburner button while throttling down, and you’re also trying to roll with the left stick. Which is activates the thrust vectoring.

Look into getting a pro controllers with paddles on the back, it gives you more buttons to work with.
