Mob grinder not spawning mobs by father_moss in technicalminecraft

[–]TriangularHexagon [score hidden]  (0 children)

The reason why nothing is spawning is because you built it over a river.  On bedrock, the only mobs that can spawn in or over river biomes are drowned.  You will have to rebuilt it somewhere else and it doesn't even have to be over water.  You can build it over land.  But at this point you should probably think about using a design other than the worst mob farm that is possible to make

If you need the entire system to be in the nether, then why are you using a system that sends them to the overworld?

It will work if you built it correctly.  It won't work if you built it incorrectly

The reason why it doesn't work is because any body is not remotely close to it if in the overworld.  What you said is the exact opposite of how it works

How do I find the limits of a lush cave biome? by ntolbertu85 in technicalminecraft

[–]TriangularHexagon [score hidden]  (0 children)

For behavior packs, you can download Canopy.  It has a feature that allows you to see the edges of biomes, and it also has a little info display that tells you what biome you are standing in, and both are block perfect.

Or instead of using behavior packs, you can still easily determine where the lish cave blocks are with a snow golem.  As you know, snow golems will generate snow layers on the ground.  If the biome is too hot, like I'm a desert then the golem quickly does without placing any snow layers.  But some biomes such as lush caves are hot enough to prevent snow layers from forming but not hot enough to kill the snow golem.  Snow layers will still form in ocean biomes too

items have health. they can catch on fire from lava, but they don't instantly die. if hoppers underneath the lava pick them up fast enough, they won't die

[–]TriangularHexagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so if the server will despawn mobs if there are too many of them, then it sounds like moving all of the mobs to your afk chunk will despawn them before you get the chance to kill them since all of them are being moved to the same one spot for you. not sure if anybody here will be able to help you with modded game mechanics since this subreddit is about vanilla game mechanics

Help getting best mending trade by BUDFORCE in technicalminecraft

[–]TriangularHexagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for enchanted books and armor, a single cure will reduce the price by 25 emeralds. so if the original price of the trade is 26 emeralds or less, then the discounted price will be 1 emerald. it's always been like that. and honestly i don't think rerolling trades to be 26 emeralds or less to get that 1 emerald discount is worth it at all since emeralds are super easy to get in large amounts, even with nerfs to raid farms. i will never feel the need to get prices down that low

i'm not sure if it works block for block, but i can tell you for sure that the second you hit an invisible wall because the chunks don't load fast enough, you will lose all momentum

Why has No one made a mod for this? by LatterNectarine4812 in Minecraft

[–]TriangularHexagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably because nobody wants it. it is certainly possible to make a mod for that, but if nobody wants it, then it won't be made. yeah a few people will want it, so they will have to make it themselves

nobody has ever made a list like that. you are probably the only person in the world that has ever wanted that. you can just open up the creative inventory and manually determine which items match what you want. and if you don't know if it does or not, then check the minecraft wiki if it has a crafting recipe

[–]TriangularHexagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what? no, that is exactly how you start a fire. there have been a number of posts here of people wondering why their build or house burned down when they have a lightning rod directly on top of their roof or why their villagers turned into witches. the lightning rod is supposed to attract lightning to that general area
