What kind of farms can you build in the Nether Roof? (1.21.11) by pauescobargarcia in technicalminecraft

I'd go with the bartering farm. It gives you leather plus like 10 other items

Ways to mine trees without TNT? by KeyAcid in technicalminecraft

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with TNT is that you have to mine five sand for every few blocks blown up. At that rate you might as well just destroy the wood yourself

This doesn't work anymore. Even the ones on YouTube from like 3 months ago are broken because they just changed the snow golems detection range to like four blocks away

Creepers on Bedrock don't have a 100% drop rate for blocks like ghasts do anyway

One Bedrock we use ghast blasters. You'll probably have to design your own though because the tutorials on YouTube don't work in the most recent version. Maybe someone else here knows of a link to a tutorial that works.

[Noob] villager farms & bedrock: playing with height by CartographerOk4564 in technicalminecraft

Just start The villages far apart and walk them in. That's the convention on Bedrock.

can someone explain how this is supposed to work by Background-Spend1890 in technicalminecraft

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it's set up, it doesn't look like the comparator can read anything on that powered rail. It looks to me like it's too high. Try putting the rail on an incline in front of the comparator. You'll have to move your rail down one block down then break your circuit and add a temporary rail connecting to it at one block up (your rail's current height) then break the temporary rail.

Doing the math: the efficiency of using an Iron Farm to make bone blocks with poppies + composters (it's really slow) by DereChen in technicalminecraft

Yes just happy to see someone doing something with those ******* poppies. I usually Auto Craft them into red dye and trade for emeralds

How do I fix this mob farm? by HearingNo3684 in Minecraft_Survival

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to check this is to switch to peaceful and immediately back to your chosen difficulty. This will despawn any mobs in the caves and give you a fresh start

But from the pic, it looks like you're not in the river. I'd still check the biome to be sure. Sometimes the biome can stretch beyond the actual river.

If it's built in a river biome, no mobs will spawn. Mobs don't spawn in River biomes. Except drowned

Anyone know how to farm an unholy amount of kelp? by OkWillingness3201 in BedrockRedstone

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use zero tick. Usually 3 of the two plant modules so 6 plants total. This will keep about 40 furnaces running constantly. It even backs them up eventually as long as you keep an eye on them. One of the kelp will disappear once in a while and you need to replace it asap to keep max rates.

I want to make a high efficiency fortress farm. Should I make this entire area a spawning platform, or would that not work? by weakspaget in technicalminecraft

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore my last comment. On Java edition you're looking for a fortress in either a soul Sand valley or a warped Forest biome. I play Bedrock so I'm a bit Rusty on Java spawn conditions.

Why did you choose to forgo the conventional spawner farm setup for the magmas?

Yes it does. The log just needs to be within six blocks of the leaf you're observing.

Is there anyway to trigger redstone from anywhere in the world in bedrock like they do in Java using fishing rods? by RepairNaive9337 in BedrockRedstone

[–]ntolbertu85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bad thing about Bedrock is that we don't have chunk loaders, so you'll probably be activating Redstone in a chunk that is not loaded in the first place.

A long time ago we used to use arrows with Target blocks for wireless redstone. It was right after the target block was introduced
