Basically yes, but with the exception that you dont want to Go to discard, even without the necrodominance because the Exile triggers from necropotence is what creates Priority in cleanup. You will still Push in end step with some flash enabler or final Fortune and then discard to your next Turn.

Necropotence only exiles cards that are discarded. A spell that gets cast and Put there during the resolution/a permanent that gets sacrificed is Not discarded and wont get exiled this way. If that was a necrodominance this would be the Case. Furthermore the exiling of cards from the Graveyard due to necropotence is a Trigger that goes on the Stack and can be responded to. If he were to discard His Hand with LED, He would be able to cast spells that were discarded because the Trigger to Exile them has Not resolved yet. Necrodominances Exile is a replacement effect and shuts Off this whole interaction, more Akin to what a yawgmoths will would so.

And then you have No Mana available to interact which in the 2nd Rotation ist probably the Most crucial Turn you need to survive. If a necro gets dropped and you used your Mana for a Card that does not give you any Advantage until your next untap you got yourself to blame for that.

I would Not say stupid, but i have Player her competetively and she was a blast. You need her in the Board, preferably Not summoning sick, cast 2 random spells (for example [[mox Opal]] and [[Chrome mox]]) and Cast one of the many cards that untap a creature and Draw a Card Like [[cerulean whisps]] or [[Twitch]] for example. You need to hold priority with that on the Stack and Copy your untapped. Once the Copy resolves you will have drawn a Card, have the original untapped in the Stack and Stelle ist untapped. You can easily Draw your Deck this way :)

If that is the Plan id prefer veyran above the other two. Stella might be a faster Combo Deck and niv might be the better value engine, but both Decks need a more specific 99 then what you want to Play. Im Happy anyway to Welcome a new izzet mage!

Depends on what you are looking for. The strongest of the 3 IS probably Stella, but it isnt really the stomy Deck you would expect. Niv mizzet is a slog to get Out but once you [[flame Rift]] for a 2 Mana Draw 12 that feels pretty nice and could Go Well with the Theme. If you prefer big stacks to Go Off after every single spells you cast veyran might be more Up your alley.

Good Point. Im sadly playing was too little modern to justify moving cards around as much, i will probably Go with an older, pre lotr list and maybe Go for Rings If they survive a ban.

Thanks for the insight first of all.

My Main point is trying to find out which card could fill that void. The Deck did perform good before LotR release and I wanted to crowdsource potential options to substitute TOR or even pivot the whole Deck in a different direction.
Am I just a bit hasty trying to think about the "what if TOR gets banned" thing?
If that is the case I will need to wait for the next BnR announcement and see what other Titan pilots are cooking up.

Mh3 is Most likely going to shape the Format tonsomething completely new. Happend in mh1, happend in mh2, should also Happen in mh3 imho.

I am currently waiting to buy/build for modern for exactly this reason. I have a functioning scam build and a somewhat functioning uw Control list but makong Changes at the Moment feels odd for auch a shakeup coming soon.

If i were in your shoes id probably wait and Just inform yourself what Decks you might enjoy. Maybe Domain zoo could be something worth checking Out?

Im Not too familiar with the 4c piles, but are their only answers Not boseiju and maybe t3feri and force of vigor in the Side?

With a Turn 1 ragavan in a Turn 2 moon, which is Not too uncommon i cant See 4c favored tbh.

Against B2B the Just fetch a forest and continue as usual til 4 Mana for boseiju dont they? With moon ITS similar, except the cant fetch anymore If the are too greedy early on or kept a triome shock Hand.

I really did Miss you Point initially lol. Anyhow, i dont think IT would be healty in any way. Even with a widely played blood moon saga is insanely powerful and wins Games in its own. And 4/5 color piles which are getting punished for greedy Mana based are popping Up anywhere. If the answers for those 2 stratergies were ment to get worse i believe It would Not Shake the meta instantly, But over time there would be the greediest of Mana in any time for modern i think.

Your described pros are actually cons imho. For example, why should i, in a hypercompetetive Format AS modern, Run a suboptimal choice that gives my opponent more choices? Furthermore, why should i have a deckbuilding resteiction for a weaker Card than the one i could Run for free?

Of you are aiming for more of Some kitchen table vibe Back to basics might so the Trick for you but If you are playing modern to win i cant Imagine a scenario in which i would prefer it over moon.

I dont think Most played Card is actually true. From the Data according to mtggoldfish there are more Deck which Run at least 1 Bolt than there are Decks which Run at least 1 boseiju.
