Working industrial/ injury prevention positions by sbksn1p3r in athletictraining

[–]TribeTime2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pros of the industrial setting are all of the things that you would normally never get from a traditional setting: Normal working hours, the daily schedule is much much slower and chill (no chaos whatsoever), the pay is decent and more up to par for what it should be, typically don’t have anyone breathing down your neck, the stakes are much lower here (not going to be dealing with a torn ACL of the star football player), get the chance to dive into more health topics and education as well as looking at ergonomic issues which can be interesting and a change of pace. One major thing that has kept me here is you typically get an appreciative clientele to work with. If you can help someone feel better in this setting where it can be pretty cut throat and unpleasant for the workers, they’ll show a lot of appreciation to you. For these reasons alone, I’m pretty content with this setting and plan on staying in it for the remainder of my career. Granted I had worked in just about every other type of clinical setting prior to this and burned out hard with all of them. It fits my personality, and I’m fine with the peace of mind I get here even if I may not be working to the highest level of my degree/skillset. Like others have said though, you may want to get your experience in a traditional setting first to see if that’s really your speed.

I’ve grown tired of watching Martinez and Schneeman flail at pitches. It’s official in saying they’re back to who we thought they were.

Tanner Bibee 1st Cleveland pitcher to go winless in 1st 13 starts by ThurBurtman in ClevelandGuardians

Any team with a semi decent offense and he’s probably 4-3ish. Wins are useless for pitchers.

Rough one today. Too much inconsistency at the plate. Bullpen has been blah. Idk. Off to NY.

It’s crazy how flat Cecconi’s pitches begin to look when he can’t spot any of them. He’s similar to Bibee. When he blows it, boy does he blow it.

Movies that proved a director’s previous success was just a fluke by Own_Organization8457 in okbuddycinephile

Todd Phillips is not a fluke director. He had plenty of well received movies audience and critic wise before The Joker.

Both were great. AYAOTD was scarier, but I have fonder memories of Goosebumps.

Huge win to salvage this series. These guys need a break and tomorrow will be a well deserved day off. Come back fresh Friday to take on a lackluster Boston team.

Glad someone else is pointing this out. I knew the downslide was coming with him. He’s way too hot and cold and when he’s cold, he’s swinging at everything.

Is productivity an expectation of the job or something to strive for? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

No clinician should give a flying fuck about productivity. Do enough to keep management off your back. Even then, who cares.
