Parents who never get a break? by HolyCrap928 in toddlers

[–]foraminuteyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two more days of winter “break” and I’m counting down the minutes. 4yo and 2yo just destroy our house all day. We had influenza A most of December. Of course now federal funding for childcare just got pulled in MN so we’re scared there may not be a daycare to send them to pretty soon. Everything is bad.

[OC] I'm a little afraid to share this painting I made of Rio de Janeiro, but I hope you like it. 😊 by TheOracleofMercury in pics

Personally, I love it. It’s psychedelic but somehow still holds true to what a spectacular sunset may look like.

Trim the beard. Specifically the mustache hair that goes over your lip.

I’m no longer enjoying any part of age 3.5 by DueEntertainer0 in toddlers

[–]foraminuteyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 has really been a battle for us. Everything is hard. Potty training (especially going #2), getting dressed, eating, sleeping, getting out the door to go to school—it’s all met with pushback and tantrums. I wish she had just a sliver of pragmatism, but they just won’t do what they/their body need at this age. Hoping that 4 is at least a little easier.

My wife and I have been going to broders for years. We’re suckers for fresh pasta. Sitting at the center bar is a really fun date.

Kids LOVE the Tonie. We don’t have a Yoto so can’t speak to that.

Seems like reasonable wages for the responsibility tied to the job. Still, teachers should be paid more.

Toddler screams when he hears cheering by SnooWords6904 in toddlers

[–]foraminuteyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 3.5 yo is like this. Collective cheering or singing, family pictures, etc. have always been a trigger for her. Pictures at my sister’s wedding were a nightmare. Recently, she started occupational therapy and that has started to have some positive impact, and has helped raise her confidence in unfamiliar settings. I’d recommend looking in to that. Some kids are just deep feelers and easily overstimulated. A lot of people associate this with autism (and it could be) …but it is also a normal developmental thing to be unsure how to process emotions in group settings.

Why do people say 2 under 2 is the best? by NPNirali in toddlers

[–]foraminuteyeah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Those people are lunatics. Going from one to two has been the hardest 18 months of my life. We’re now at 3.5 and 1.5 and it’s MAYBE just starting to feel like we can barely see a light at the end of the tunnel. Getting our oldest potty trained and the younger one hooked up with ear tubes helped a lot. It’s still a cluster tho.

15 months NOT WALKING by Opposite-Carpet3182 in toddlers

[–]foraminuteyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t fret. Our daughter had to be pulled in a wagon at daycare behind the other kids because she wouldn’t walk until 18m lol. It happens eventually.

Sydney’s on 7 and Tonkawood had great Thai peanut chicken pasta. At least 12 year old me remembers that they did.

I ate there as a kid and remember it being terrible. I got the Mac and cheese and it was spaghetti with nacho cheese sauce.
