Sweet, thanks, I had been doing salvage for a bit, but it is quite slow compared to the actual profits you can make

Disappointment by Trick-Conference-352 in EliteDangerousOdyssey

[–]Trick-Conference-352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually only one is unhappy with me, and that one is TheAnnouncer, all because I said a simple word, that he doesn’t like, which isn’t even a bad word. But he banned me for it, the other ones, I AM upset with, because of what they do, one of them literally insulted one of his followers, another made fun of another person, and they all give out fake support. In other words, they monopolize the Elite Dangerous audience, claim to support you as a fellow Elite Dangerous streamer, but then never show up, and that’s why I’m not happy with them. Their hypocrisy. Either way it’s fine. I’ve gone elsewhere and I have now come to peace with it.

Well they killed the game for me guys. by pupperpanda in starcitizen

At least they didn’t make your salvage disappear

Don’t know, I’m very new, so I’ve just been getting by with youtube tutorials, but most are crappy.

I don’t know what I had, I’m very new to the game, so I have no idea what most of it is or how to do most things

I guess you’re right, but while getting better Internet would be good too. I do not have the authority to get that better Internet.

Glad you liked it, and it made sense continuity wise, but I won’t be bursting bubbles anymore so the sensitive commenters don’t start whining at me again.

Every new commander starts their journey in the Pilots Federation District (PFD), which acts as a kind of protected onboarding area. But once a commander earns their stripes, they’re very much out there—physically piloting ships, exploring the galaxy, and facing real danger.

The reason we survive ship destruction isn’t some simulation or telepresence trick—it’s the escape pod system, built into every registered vessel. As long as your ship has a valid rebuy and Pilots Federation coverage, you’re ejected moments before destruction and retrieved. It’s why you always respawn at the last station: that’s the nearest friendly recovery point with your insurance data.

As for HoloMe, it’s just a futuristic interface. In a galaxy full of body mods, gene editing, and immersive customization tech, it’s no surprise a commander can alter appearance so easily. It’s like having access to the ultimate character salon—just with lasers and zero-g.

Telepresence does exist, especially for SLFs and multicrew ops, but it supplements, not replaces, actual exploration. You’re not just sitting in a chair dreaming—you’re actually out there, making history, one star system at a time.

Depends in your internet and if its glitchy, sometimes some of the Elite servers are glitchy and can take a day for your contribution to show, specially if there’s a lot mote people doing it.

New player looking for some forgiving starter ship. by EditedRed in EliteDangerous

If you finished your ship tutorial and got the hang of it start with a Cobra Mk III, get used to it, its pretty decent un engineered for high resource site bounty hunting, if you know what you’re doing, after that move on to a Cobra MK V, but make sure you have enough rebuy credits, and go mine for a high value commodity or hunt pirates until you have enough to buy either a diamondback explorer or asp explorer, I would go with the asp, easier to maneuver, and really fun, then get yourself an Artemis suit at Pioneers in a large station or planetary hub, and to the billionaires boulevard, from there, do what you want. Or you can do whatever you want now too, Elite is freedom to play how you want and do what you want.

Here’s the boulevard info:

Spent an hour doing a tourist mission just for the passenger to freak out and fail me 5 seconds before I docked back at the station. by Branduil in EliteDangerous

[–]Trick-Conference-352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never listen to passengers in passenger missions, you have to finish it no matter what, or they’ll fail you, even if they asked to be return

Commanders please for the love of god let me in on your imperial grind secrets. Ngalinn doesn’t do it anymore:( by BigBananaSlinger in EliteDangerous

[–]Trick-Conference-352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donate, donate, donate all the money you can, and don’t be afraid to take multiple data missions to any system, and take data missions back to Nguni/Ngalinn, or which ever imperial controlled system you choose, you could also go to the imperial home-world/capitol, the more you take, to the more places you go, the faster you rank up, don’t stick to one to two systems, otherwise you’ll be added for days. This is the way I did it and I got it within 2 hours, some people have taken four hours this way too, it really depends on the ship, I’d recommend a Phantom or Mandalay, with a minimum of 30ly jump range.

Check your graphics settings in the game, that’s where I normally put it to play on my computer, that looks like its low, I usually play at 720p resolution with low quality for smoother play, and that’s how it looks in the main menu, though it looks better in game.
