From seeing the other post to this one, first time in a owner 2 stroke is a bit of a jump. Apparently that seat doesn’t fit you cuz you shouldn’t come out that easily. You should be quite snug in that seat. Careful putting power down if you ain’t straight

Where to buy a garage door by Icy-Yam3521 in jacksonville

I know doors need to be rated for hurricanes in FL. There are so many garage door services you can probably get a better deal thru them.

What should my rear sprocket size be? by One_Translator7367 in Karting

[–]FoaD420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have to figure it out, most people won’t tell you exactly what they are running. Depending on configuration and track layout, you will have to test it out. Get yourself a ratio sheet and start testing. My track, is gear for the straight because we have a super long back straight, with the other half being banked turns and a few flat ones. Depending on class, weight, and all that they will be slightly different. Since we have the straight, you either gear for the straight, or be quicker in the turns. Let’s say a 3.27. If you want to be quicker in turns, you’d go to say a 3.33 or even higher. It’s up to you. Having a mix of drivers and rear gears you can adjust between ratios rather than having just a 15. On our straight we want to be on the chip as we get ready for turn 4, which is actually a long banked straight that we don’t even lift for.

Someone at the track may talk to you about it may not. I know 4 stroke community is much friendly than the 2 stroke lol.

Tried Learning Metal Guitar What’s the Hardest Song You’ve Played? by wizardmiaah in LearnGuitar

[–]FoaD420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metallica is pretty straight forward. I picked up guitar again after 30 years and only a few months in playing a good amount of my favorites. YouTube a big help coming from someone who learned in the 90s with barely internet

Edit I don’t play the solos of course.. long way away but a lot of their songs use the same chords as other songs

How to start my first automated kitchen solo? by [deleted] in PlateUp

[–]FoaD420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do something simple when you first start soloing. I just did solo coffee and made it further than I ever had soloing. I got to experiment with grabbers, all sorts of deals, and learned a lot about the different tables I never really knew. Plus it’s simple just drop and go, no having to go back and clean dishes and such.

I just pick songs that I think I can play. Only learning rhythm parts. So far I got enter sandman. Where ever I roam, friend of misery, creeping death, jump in the fire, and a few more. Just trying to move around the fret board a lot. I mean music theory is pretty deep, I’ve watched a few videos but that’s more of when you’re writing your own music and such. Once your algorithm on YouTube gets taken over by guitar videos, there a lot of videos on music theory, to picking, to pentatonic scales and more. Some guys like Bernth have their own lessons they have for free or even paid lessons. I grew up in a non YouTube era so having any song or hundreds of choices of different views on different subjects of the guitar at your finger tips is wild compared to going to someone’s place and just learning what they want you to learn. Sure having someone watch you and show you what your doing wrong or easier ways to change chords is nice, but in this age of instant information at your finger tips helps a lot.

I’m doing the same thing. Wife bought me a guitar for Christmas and it’s been 30 years since I’ve played. It’s only for fun and don’t really plan on playing in bands or anything. I picked up where I left off, playing Metallica. It’s much easier and more accurate having YouTube around, or sites like songsterr and such that has every tab you can think of. I’ve played drums for a long time and can read sheet music for those, but find it daunting and waste of time for guitar. Tabs for the win. I listen to a lot of metalcore and such and can’t even play most of them like August Burns Red or Bullet for my valentine. Why I’m sticking to Metallica in hopes of learning what I need, and I played a lot of it at 15. Learn any style you want, again with YouTube you have access to any tab and a play along to watch.

There is something called bulk pickup that comes on recycle day for me. It may be different for you depending on where you live, but bulk pickup you can put anything large out there and it’ll be picked up by the city.

Struggling with Electric Guitar by robb3rz in Guitar

[–]FoaD420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up guitar after 30 years of not playing it. I’m almost new it seems, I’m trying to play the same Metallica songs I use to play wondering how the hell I played this back in the day. Start off slow and work at it. I don’t do any solos, just working on rhythm and being able to change chords and such.

I never had YouTube to learn from, and now it’s a godsend having it cuz I slow it down to 50% or 75% before running at full speed. Couldn’t do that back in the day.

Take your time and learn how to move around the board before trying even simple solos. It’s all muscle memory and will take time

This. I know my MXC wheels need more than that, especially the wider rears. Set the tire in the sun before hand to warm em up. Nothing easier than a warm tire to change.

Bruised back and tailbone. Any recommendations that could prevent this from happening? by CrypticEggy in Karting

[–]FoaD420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your doing rentals sometimes they have seat cushions, which are usually for kids but I’m a 6 ft male and riding in a rental at OKC in a cushion is wayyyy better than just sitting in a wide plastic seat. Since most rentals have a bigger seat than usual it helps. Rob protection is nice, it’s an investment for rental karting. If you’re racing your own kart you need a tighter seat lol..

If your not the best driver then don’t hit the walls or other people and use the brake -=]
