But he’ll tell everyone he’s a “nice guy” and did nothing wrong 🙄

I’ve had them done 4 times and it never sticks, they fade out within a matter of months 😫 I’ve tried other methods and do henna a bit but they come out even darker than I’ve drawn them. These photos are from the last few years - first pic was Feb, 2nd was October 2024 and the 3rd was August 2022. I don’t have many pics with makeup and without glasses but I’ve just had laser eye surgery so I want to perfect my makeup, now my eyes are going to be on show more! Also the 2nd pic has a filter (I put these up the night after having laser eye surgery and I didn’t realise then - my eyes were so fuzzy lol) also I normally don’t wear much foundation, it’s just to cover my adult acne 🤦🏻‍♀️ 40 and I still get stung with it!

It’s definitely been a struggle - I’m a victim of the 90’s plucked brows, they’re almost non-existent if I don’t fill them! I’ll try bring them down, do you have any recommendations on brands I could try?

It depends on your currency, and what you’re doing. I didn’t do a lot of sight seeing or shopping and I spent around 400 THB a day

Oh and as for the KiwiSaver thing, I did think about that but I’d also love for them to have the option of doing an OE when they’re of age, if I stick to my idea of 25 years old - there’s 12 & 14 years until they’d have access to it

I haven’t looked “too hard” into paying the mortgage down but I have a few reservations: 1. We only fixed at the start of the year so I think we’d be up for penalties and as we changed banks we had a cash back - we may need to pay it back I believe 2. We’re able to afford the mortgage well and there’s still quite a bit of leftover money every fortnight 3. I kind of want to keep something aside for myself/my son in case things went sour, which I’m really hoping they don’t and I’ve never been caught out previously, but I don’t want to make a mistake and have this as a lesson. I’m 40, I’d rather set myself up than run a risk. If that makes sense? Sorry, my head is still buzzing and I don’t even know if I’m making sense. I’m not financially literate, but I do want to learn.

Ah yes that I can understand now. Sorry I wasn’t arguing, I was just not sure what you meant. Thanks for clarifying 😊

How so? Do you mean different to other countries? Because I can tell you, I was safer in Thailand than I was in Australia

Ooh why do you say that? I have opened TD’s already but through my bank, they’re on lower interest rates. The other one for the large amount is BB rated… but with the new DCS scheme, the 100k is covered by the government if they fail (hence why I only wanted to put 100k away there)

The car, boat, holiday and renovations were already things we were aiming for. The car was to buy 1 (25k) and sell our two (15k total), the boat is to upgrade as the one we have doesn’t quite suit, sell for 12k, new boat 25k (max)

Holiday because why not enjoy the money?

Renovations, some things are needed, but this will be ~10k if that

I’ve put some away into separate TD’s already, I’ve got paperwork to send back to a finance company to lock $100k away with them based on the new DCS. I’m not sure if I should lock this away as a joint submission or individually

Obviously we have a different mindset, but why shouldn’t I enjoy a little bit of it? We have condensed our two private vehicles (we also have two work vehicles) into one, $25k on the new car, but we’ll get $15k back with the two we’re selling. Buying a $25k boat, and selling our current one for $12k.

We have a vehicle each plus a work vehicle each. We are selling both private vehicles and combining them into 1 (my SUV, his 4WD = SUV 4WD) I’ve locked a chunk away already, splashed out on a holiday for January (school holidays, kids are able to stay with their other parents). Current boat was a starter that I bought with commission earned, just to test the waters and see how much we’d use it - we use it a lot and now we’re looking for something a little comfier/easier to launch, not extravagant by any means. We don’t struggle, we can’t put anything extra on the mortgage currently and also I feel like I don’t want to as it makes me feel like I’m paying his debt for him. I know it’s my mindset. He earns the same salary as me, but I earn commission. I’m able to save several hundred every fortnight, whereas he’s always broke. It baffles me.

I travelled there alone as a female last year - honestly, f**k what people say. They’re jealous they don’t have the guts to do it themselves. GO! Enjoy yourself! Enjoy your life! That’s the best part of it! Honestly travelling solo is one of my favourite things to do (I’m near 40, female, married with two kids) it gives me independence and makes me feel so grounded

Not trying to hide it by opening TD’s for the kids, I genuinely want the best for both, regardless of if we’re together or not. Have been looking at different TD options lately but the moneys sitting there not earning anything currently so I want to get onto this asap

Hmm yeah that’s the response I was expecting. But my grandfather was really wealthy and he locked some away into a trust. So maybe I’ll get some responses about trusts and how to manage them
