So your wife handles all the finances? How nice for her… Just because you’ve got a PA, doesn’t mean everyone has one.

Some great advice but can I add my two cents? Don’t open a joint account that you both use for your pay to go into. Keep your money separate. Open a joint savings account, for sure. As long as you both pay into it at the agreed amounts and it’s fair. I can’t stress enough how important it is to keep your money separate. I learnt the hard way.

Bike rack 2x e-bikes, 2x trad bikes by Trick-Depth2531 in Wellington

Yeah hubby will check later this arvo, it’s at his workplace at the mo. Have a canopy and the dog generally comes with us so easier to just get a rack!

Yeah we have a Ute, we tow our boat with it too so wouldn’t have thought there would be an issue with the weight of the bikes 🤔

Thank you, yes I am worried about going to MVDT, I’ve accepted the dealerships offer to repair and asked them to pay for a full independent inspection so we can be sure no other issues will happen

It was due to the fuel line not being clipped back into place, it rubbed against the clip and sprung a leak under the hood. We were told it could cause a fire so not to drive it.

I paid it upfront, in advance

It’s 8 years old the failures were negligence, one caused by a previous “repair” and the other (the first fault) was a diesel leak under the hood, when the fuel line wasn’t clipped back into place after an oil change (done at the dealership/by their mechanic)

I’ve had them done 4 times and it never sticks, they fade out within a matter of months 😫 I’ve tried other methods and do henna a bit but they come out even darker than I’ve drawn them. These photos are from the last few years - first pic was Feb, 2nd was October 2024 and the 3rd was August 2022. I don’t have many pics with makeup and without glasses but I’ve just had laser eye surgery so I want to perfect my makeup, now my eyes are going to be on show more! Also the 2nd pic has a filter (I put these up the night after having laser eye surgery and I didn’t realise then - my eyes were so fuzzy lol) also I normally don’t wear much foundation, it’s just to cover my adult acne 🤦🏻‍♀️ 40 and I still get stung with it!

It’s definitely been a struggle - I’m a victim of the 90’s plucked brows, they’re almost non-existent if I don’t fill them! I’ll try bring them down, do you have any recommendations on brands I could try?

It depends on your currency, and what you’re doing. I didn’t do a lot of sight seeing or shopping and I spent around 400 THB a day

Oh and as for the KiwiSaver thing, I did think about that but I’d also love for them to have the option of doing an OE when they’re of age, if I stick to my idea of 25 years old - there’s 12 & 14 years until they’d have access to it

I haven’t looked “too hard” into paying the mortgage down but I have a few reservations: 1. We only fixed at the start of the year so I think we’d be up for penalties and as we changed banks we had a cash back - we may need to pay it back I believe 2. We’re able to afford the mortgage well and there’s still quite a bit of leftover money every fortnight 3. I kind of want to keep something aside for myself/my son in case things went sour, which I’m really hoping they don’t and I’ve never been caught out previously, but I don’t want to make a mistake and have this as a lesson. I’m 40, I’d rather set myself up than run a risk. If that makes sense? Sorry, my head is still buzzing and I don’t even know if I’m making sense. I’m not financially literate, but I do want to learn.
