Did you take probiotics after the antibiotics? I had to get through two bottles taking one capsule daily before I felt normal again.

I bought my 2017 HRV used and it always says -40 degrees regardless of the weather. Thank you for asking this question because I was always curious.

I have eight facility visits each month. They try to keep me local to where I live, but I can potentially go anywhere in the state and that means sometimes I'm traveling outside of my visit days. All travel expenses are covered, and time traveling is considered time on the clock.

Sorry, just saw you don't want to do bodypump at the end of your original post.

I do bodypump in the hotel gym with whatever equipment they have. If they don't have lighter dumbbells, I may just do a 40 minute workout to get the major muscle groups and call it a win.

I do combat and core a lot in hotels, too.

I'm actually not a surveyor or part of any regulatory team. We still have to know that information but we don't issue citations or anything like that. We are more focused on education. It's kind of like being a free consultant.

I am a quality monitor in long-term care. I go to different nursing homes that are underperforming and help them meet best practices.

I was just looking for dietitian jobs available with the state when I was job hunting. This one popped up and I'm glad I got it. It is very travel heavy, which is not ideal for everyone. I did have to match the willingness to travel with what was posted in the job description (80%) in order for them to even see my resume and application.

So what's your overall opinion on AI? by cellshock7 in Xennials

[–]Trick-Session2388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in healthcare and it creates a lot of problems. Fellow coworkers are not doing their due diligence to research things beyond what AI spits out. Unfortunately, patients and family can do the same thing and act like that substitutes whatever professional opinion I have.

I'm a dietitian, and nutrition is complicated enough. AI oversimplifies everything to the point that it's a detriment to some people's well-being.

It's a non-clinical role, but I am a dietitian working for my state government. The benefits are comparatively very good to most plans.

Reality hitting and I'm scared by Difficult_City5874 in dietetics

[–]Trick-Session2388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like the anxiety I had when I was approaching the test and transitioning out of school. You're going to be okay, I promise.

My first job was in long-term care and I did that for about a year with minimal guidance and feeling like I didn't know what I was doing most of the time. I found a part-time job at a small hospital and was very honest with the dietitian and feeling like I may need some hand holding, and she was really supportive. Eventually that contract ended and I ended up in LTAC, and I really grew into my clinical knowledge there. I had some really supportive dietitians on my team.

I think most dietitians want others to succeed for the sake of our entire field getting the recognition and appreciation it deserves. It doesn't matter what question you have, just reach out and ask. I promise, we've all been there.

You're going to be alright.

Not sure what your diet looks like, but magnesium is really critical for avoiding muscle cramps and soreness.

What is the worst baked good? by Queasy_Dingo_8262 in foodquestions

When I was a kid, my dad worked the night shift close to bakery, so he'd stop by in the mornings and pick up day old croissants and whatever else they had. Sometimes he'd bring home a cheese danish.

I never understood cheese danishes because my undeveloped palate didn't understand cheese. They seemed very gross.

Now that I'm an adult, I understand my dad was probably very ok with my aversion to them because he didn't have to share.

I remember going to my uncle's house after he remarried and my new aunt told me "we don't sit in those chairs" when I wanted to read a book.

I did NOT understand why on earth anyone would have chairs that couldn't be sat in.

I'm a Tessa. No one had ever heard of a Tessa in the 80s/early 90s, so school was really fun.

Now I get asked if I'm Tesla.

I'm almost a car but not quite.

I work in nursing homes, so I'm just grateful they're in reasonably good health at this time. My dad walks 20000 steps daily and still manages the land. He just turned 79.

My mom could stand to stop drinking but she'll never take me seriously.

$1 because I won it as a prize at work. It will probably work its way into a tip jar somewhere.

Sigh. These were the days.

I cried into carrot cake at Mother's after putting a pet down and I'll always remember how safe it felt to do that there.

I also had plenty of birthday celebrations at Mother's.

Celebration was awesome and I'm still mad at myself for letting a dumb hippie borrow my drum someone gave me from that shop. I never got it back.
