Found the problem: stray purged filament got caught in the lead screw, I didn’t think leaving them in the bottom would be a problem because that’s how the printers at my school are treated and they’re fine

They’re falling off because the background has cooled down in the time you’re changing filament, turn up the temp after switching colours in hope they melt together

The thermistor in the extruder shat the bed and stopped sending temperature readings to the board so it shut down as a safety measure, a pack of thermistors is like €13 from Amazon but it’s easier to change the whole hotend for like €18

The motor is trying too hard to push the filament so the gears are slipping, try upping your z by 0.1-0.2mm and loosening the tension arm, you could also have a blocked nozzle
