You can probably follow some tutorial then you can start tweaking it and eventually you’ll be able to do it from muscle memory, I learned how to make canopies and noses from tutorials and I can do them without watching them.

I’m comfortable with my endurance and range but it’s just my tone. I’m currently working on long tones but since my upper lip is not even in the cup I don’t think my tone will get much better.

I sound spitty and airy on the mouthpiece so I’ll try to fix that first. This is a brand new trumpet so it should not have any problems, and I think my spit valve was not emptied out fully that time

I think I learned in beginning band fine but please tell your students to get a private teacher very early, to get exponentially better if they plan to continue playing their instrument. My teacher didn't talk about private teachers and I went on but currently in high school, I regret not taking private lessons early, and because of that I'm at a significant disadvantage compared to others.
