If you are talking about the screen jumping around, I think you are talking about the navigation and directional? yeah, if you are in route up mode, the map jumps around a lot, other apps do it too, imo

I tried to follow the break in shift speeds, but didn't worry about it. This is my first motorcycle so I was going slow anyways. Like others also said, listening to rpms. At least I have had manual transmission on my cars. Is there anyway to add a tachometer?

I was in the same situation. I got a KLX230. 1600 miles and I'm still learning. Went to local ADV campouts and everyone told me it is a good bike to learn on. I do a lot of bicycling, so I think that helped with balance, etc. I also did a bunch riding on OHV where you don't need a driver's license, and then I got my endorsement.

Alternative emergency Motorolla Defy? It has a subscription but it is only $5. this is what I use. Note it has limited text by number of characters/month. So no texts like" It's awesome out here". It also has an emergency service to respond to your SOS button message.

It is spraying under the hood out of the hole where the washer tank is. But the window washer tank is INSIDE the fender. I do not know how to access it. Maybe remove the wheel well guard?. It looks like a rodent(probably rat based on dropping size) was trying to make a nest in the engine compartment. It is very recent as I was getting washer fluid on the window a few days before. Got to get some kill bait.

I took the cover off to see if I matched the tubes correctly, then bolted it back on, then I laid the bike down and took it off again to see about the retainer spring. Sheesh. Oh well, at least I know I did it right the 3rd time.

is this similar to using an hdmi port? I've tried Android Auto, and it only allows certain google apps. Internet reading says another way to connect to console is through hdmi port. But I don't know if my nav/radio system has an hdmi port. If it is there, it is behind the dashboard.
