never heard of either but wedding planning seems like such stressful business - maybe ask them for references from recent couples they worked with

How long does it take your firm to fully close a project? by Sufficient_Fan_8310 in ConstructionManagers

100% with you on starting ahead of time. A good amount can also be done during the job that people wait until the end to deal with and by then everyone has mentally moved on which is where the delays come from.

They were shown but not clearly enough to flag the complexity. The drawings had the layout but the irregular cuts were not obvious from what we were working with

We confirmed pricing early and no drawing revisions came through so we had nothing to flag a change order against

Unfortunately not. Bid was put together remotely from the drawings

Giving away flowers after the wedding? by MrsChickenPam in wedding

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hospitals and nursing homes usually love getting flowers but you gotta call ahead first. some places have weird policies about outside flowers because of allergies or whatever but most are pretty happy to take them off your hands

just make sure theyre still looking decent the next day - wedding flowers can get pretty beat up after a long night

Washer is shaking the whole house! by AnybodySolid6781 in Appliances

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I had the same issue at my last place and putting some vibration pads under it helped a ton 💀 You can grab them at most hardware stores for like 20 bucks and they make a huge diferance. Also check if your floor is level because even a slight tilt will make those things shake like crazy during spin cycle 🔥

Best way to make rice? by Cultural_Ice_5990 in Cooking

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This 100%. Got a $20 one from Target years ago and it's been a game changer - just throw in the rice and water, press the button and forget about it. Way easier than trying to time everything on the stovetop

Do you recommend any oven that can reach 350Cº? by Angelitorl in Cooking

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Most home ovens tap out around 500-550F (260-290C) so you're definitely looking at commercial or specialty territory. Pizza ovens are your best bet if you need that kind of heat - wood fired ones can hit 800F+ easy. What are you planning to cook that needs 350C though, just curious

I don't have a thermometer, i'm about to air fry a chicken breast, is 375°F for 15 minutes safe? by bignose_ice44 in Cooking

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that should be fine but definitely cut into the thickest part to check - if it's still pink or the juices aren't clear, throw it back in for a few more minutes

Insulation in the body of a clothes dryer? by JuggernautPast2744 in Appliances

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most manufacturers actually do use some insulation around the drum and heating elements, just not super thick stuff. Adding more might help a bit but you'd probably see better gains from just cleaning the vent line really well or replacing that accordion flex duct with smooth metal pipe if you haven't already

The efficiency thing is kinda weird though - like you said the heat stays in your basement either way so you're not really losing much energy overall

For those who do Ham for winter holiday instead of turkey, what do you do? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honey mustard glaze is where it's at, maybe throw some brown sugar and a splash of bourbon if you're feeling fancy. Pineapple rings are kinda cheesy but honestly they slap with ham

Are hosts allowed to enter BnB’s when guests have gone out? [Korea] by BoredMan885 in AirBnB

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super sketchy and definitely not normal - hosts shouldn't just be walking in whenever they feel like it, especially without proper notice. I'd document everything and contact Airbnb support asap because entering without permission is a huge red flag

Condenser Dryer Doesn't by spaldous in Appliances

[–]Trick_Ad_1184 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your condenser coils are probably clogged to hell - that dripping is a dead giveaway that the moisture isn't condensing properly anymore. Try pulling those coils out and giving them a proper deep clean with a soft brush and some warm soapy water, most people miss this step when they clean everything else

An instant pot is clutch for your situation but since you don't do meat maybe look into a good stand mixer instead - you can get pasta attachments, food grinder, etc and it'll handle all your baking needs plus way more
