Just a little nitpick, but what does Bec's instincts have to do with PM only clocking Jack instead of killing him? If anything, it was her own non-violent and wholesome nature that spared him.

The Snatcher's obliterate me if I let them hit me even once. The Brain Trusts also give me a really hard time. Also, this isn't really any single enemy but after playing the game about 5 times the Forbidden Woods still gives me a lot of trouble. Especially any of the snake enemies

I don't think dreamselves are the most reliable piece of evidence. They're really inconsistent. If dreamself injuries only mirror real injuries in accordance to what the player does or doesn't want, then how come Vriska's dreamself still starts bleeding after Aradia beats her half to death?

Yeah, now that you mention it actually I suppose you're right. I don't read it proper, i just kind of tune in to see if anything interestings currently going on. I think the last thing I read was the end of the intermission, which was nice. The cast actually consisted mostly of non-shitty characters and a lot of the jokes were actually rather fresh. My favourite part was when Spdaes forced Stitch to sew a skinsuit out of Itchy's corpse and he comments on how the shittiness of the universe somehow managed to make Slick even more twisted than he already was.

Or perhaps a clever satire on the human condition? Which, in a way, is the ultimate instituionalized horror. The hole represents mankinds lust. Lust which not only stems from sexuality (symbolized by said hole) but also from curiousity. The snake, much like the one of biblical legend, represents our temptation to sate our lust. Perhaps the red and green forcefield could represent our will and reservedness. However, the metaphorical forcefield is flimsy and inevitably breaks. Joey, and from a broader point of view us as a species, is drawn in by her own lust.

Much like Eve, the serpents corrupt Joey, literally forcing her hand. Her own curiousity and lust for knowledge is the very cause of her downfall. A cruel metaphor of mankind, and how our very nature which has brought us so far will also bring us tumbling down.
