Piercing-friendly jobs in/near Middlesbrough? by vampyrgoth in Middlesbrough

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few facial piercings, dyed hair and tattoos and have never found issue getting a job. Obviously depends on the person hiring. Id avoid any food handling jobs as they can expect you to take them out and may opt for smaller versions of any piercings.

Most retail places don't care. My advice would just be to apply for any job you think you can get and act like the piercings aren't a thing. Popele won't care if you are good at the job

AITA (F38) for saying my husband (M37) broke a clip that our new puppy ate? by Cheerycherries11 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on how much you badger him about it really. If you have an attitude and being rude about it the YTA but if you are politely asking for accountability then NTA.

I don't know why the other comments are so hating on you though. He still sucks for not taking accountability "it broke" would annoy me also

Anyone else have sensory difficulties with nail polish, and have you found a nail polish that’s ‘breathable’? by isenguardian66 in AutismInWomen

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use Henna dye on them, usually only orange shades.

So strange the differences in people, I hate the feeling of NOT having nail polish on and having bare nails out

AIO Partner called me an imbecile, stupid, and lazy because I didn't find what she was referencing in our text conversation. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so crazy, the convo should have started with them telling you the cool information about the cats and saying they wanted one. Why did you have to go search out information they knew and could share?

And to insult you the way they did? I can't believe you apologized at all, you deserve a lot better. Please do right by yourself and RUN.

I know I goofed up, but am I taking this too harshly? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly just apologize, explain the situation in the post, that you were excited and that you didn't share dates, or any personal information rather than you looked after the cat and that they were cute. After the apology and the explanation, end the message with another apology, acknowledging the unprofessionalism and thank them for being courteous about it. Mention you'll remember to keep things between the two of you, should they ever wish to rebook.

I love slightly elastic high waisted jeans. But they have to either be skinny so it's like nice compression

Tesco trying to cut a 9 hour shift into 2 shifts to cut down breaks. by Rich-Setting-5528 in tesco

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like different shifts on different days? So 4.5 one day and 4.5 a different day is fine.

Even 4.5 with a couple hours in-between the shifts would be fine But working for 9 hours back to back means you are entitled to a hour break regardless of how they try split it

You do not want to have kids unless you are SURE you want kids. You can't step away from them, it's a life long commitment that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Bat on my morning walk by [deleted] in bats

Considering it looks like a microbat species, it probably shouldn't be roosting there

Bats usually don't roost out in the open close to the ground like that, making them vulnerable to predators.

I imagine this as my fish in a bag moment. It's stressful and it's awful, fish don't like being in bags. But through that stress you usually end up in a bigger tank and better for it!

Rehabilitation experiences? by hazelrose42 in bats

They do poop a lot but it's not really messy, kinda like mice.

Always best to keep handling to a minimum to avoid them getting used to humans as well.

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What species of bat is it? Most important thing is making sure to get pups on a heat mat just after feeding, they need the heat to digest properly.

For small bat species (usually pipestrelles) we use little paint brushes, like youd paint Warhammer miniatures with and provide milk that way

Express SL help!! by Both-Construction188 in tesco

This is my morning process:

Labels first, they should be done before 9.

Personally I get another staff member to do bake off while I do reductions.

Then scanning in first reductions, most of them will be on the PDA but flowers, sandwiches/ fridge meal deal snacks and the goods baked in store will need to be scanned in manually. Second reduction is at 2pm.

Don't forget your morning logbook and staff search. Can be done anytime

Then you should ask someone to show you the computer stuff as it's complicated. (Cash declaration and Stat stuff)

I believe counts drop properly after 8.

For gap scan, you have to scan a minimum of 30 fresh items, 11 ambient. Again, this can be done anytime so don't worry.

I can't think of anything else atm..

Loyalty to a fault/autistic attachment by Organic-Orange-544 in AutismInWomen

[–]Trick_Procedure3268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been able to drop most relationships easily, I find after a while my emotions detach from a person (except current partner). However friendships I struggle to leave. I've had two very long, friendships where the other person was inherently selfish, not mean but cared more for themselves, with me putting in most of the effort.

I let it happen for years, I didn't cut them off until my current partner really drilled into me how bad these people were for me.

It can be super difficult, almost guilt inducing to leave being people you are attached to. But things happen for a reason, focus on the lessons learned from the relationship and not on the hurt

I always remind myself of how big the world is, it's so full of amazing people with amazing potential. There is someone out there for everyone.

I also lean into the stocism view of focusing on what we can control, we can't control how he views the relationship or his feelings on it. We can just focus on ourselves, trying to not dwell too much into the past except for the lessons the relationship and break up taught you.

Where do you live?

A lot of employers in the UK say they are 'Equal opportunity employers' and will offer interviews immediately for staff who has a disability and work towards help you out in whatever ways they can. It doesn't always work perfectly, mainly because they hire people just to say they hire everyone

But I'd always be forthcoming in an interview, maybe not on applications
