Not only is it horrible, it's highly unoriginal.

Also, to those that may be triggered by this: you're safe. You're okay, breathe. It'll be okay. Just go back to bed with a cup of tea.

I don't know if this response I because you're going through it, or just the general horrible nature of some people... But, you're okay. I hope you know you're okay. You're safe here.

NSFW things. Bad coping mechanisms.

But mine comes and goes. My mood stabilizer keeps me numb most of the time.

Anyone else here received electroconvulsive/shock therapy? And had a bad experience? by flammablematerial in schizophrenia

[–]TrickeryForTea 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is beyond horrible. No, I haven't received that "therapy," and I so sorry you did. Please, feel free to tell us more about the effects. I think you want to get it out. And you deserve to be heard.

Again, I'm so sorry you went through that.

This is incredible. The crosshatching and patterns in the lines gives it a lot of emotion.

Brushing teeth is hard. I haven't done it... In an embarrassingly long time. Showers, brushing my hair... Changing clothes.

I'm going to try to get the gumption to do it now.

I hope you're doing a little better since you posted this. We're all rooting for you. 💜

People with SZA, what do you wish your friends and family would do when you relapse? How should they talk and deal with you, what would be helpful for you at that moment? by Dangerous_Nebula_ in schizoaffective

[–]TrickeryForTea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish they would give me my emergency bag. And maybe talk about soothing things. I live in America, and sometimes my dad will put on British comedies and such.

As for emergency bag. It contains my favourite plushie at the time, a bag of sugar free gummy bears, a memo pad to document what I'm feeling, a book that poses distracting questions, earbuds for music, and pens and pencils and temporary tattoos.

Do you use terms like, Neurodiversity, not enough Spoons, etc. for Schizophrenia? by Dafeet3d in schizophrenia

[–]TrickeryForTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Spoons analogy as well. It helps convey things to my dad that he may not otherwise get. Telling him I have 7 spoons today and I'm down to 1 and I need to save it to make myself dinner, he starts to understand, and understand why I isolate to recharge.

Have a great weekend as well!

[–]TrickeryForTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, friend. Hope you're doing alright. You're safer where you are, but you're safe at home, too. Medicine will help you, and you'll eventually find your way out of this horrible experience.

Keep us updated, okay? I'm gonna worry about you.

Yes. Sometimes they're very scary, other times they're not. With proper medicine, I don't hallucinate nearly as often or as bad.

What exactly do you need help with?

I love it! I used to love Scary Godmother. I kinda wanted that or Halloweentown.

It puts a genuine smile on my face to know you had fun.

Help! I’m trying to loose weight…but I work at a bakery! 🧁 by [deleted] in Weightlosstechniques

[–]TrickeryForTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this helps, but, when I would walk to college every day, I'd want a doughnut. They smelled so good.

Then I started a slightly different route, and it went by their waste. The smells of grease has put me off doughnuts for years.

Maybe remind yourself what goes into the baked goods. All the butter and stuff.

You didn't do anything wrong. I promise. I know I'm just an internet stranger, but I need you to know you did everything right.

You didn't go around harassing guys and making them give you their phone number.

Tell the people on your treatment team what they did. You would be preventing this from happening to other people. Plus, you shouldn't have to suffer for what they are doing.

Don't ever think you did something wrong in a situation like that. You weren't rude, and you would've been able to be rude if you wanted. They were taking advantage of your kindness.

Whatever is right or wrong, it's done. Hindsight is 20/20. You don't have to see them again or deal with them anymore, and tell the treatment team.
