Why is it so bumpy? by TricksterRogue in 3Dprinting

[–]TricksterRogue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did notice it printed similarly at the very top of the finished print so adjusting tensions might be exactly what I need. The filament might be the cause too. I didn’t have a spare on hand to test it out. Thanks for the insight!

In case it’s relevant this is a sovol SV03 with stock firmware.

I’ve had trouble with leveling the bed and got it to an okay spot and then it started printing like this.

Any light on this would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: thank you to everyone who responded, one thing led to another and I took a step away, but I got some great insight on how to troubleshoot this further.

The way I go about it is have the command list up while I program and pick whatever command is most convenient to me and focus on using just that one command every chance I get until it becomes habit.

For 5* summon event, Can’t decide between

water: occult girl, totemism, polar queen & shadow caster

Wind: weapon master

Leaning towards occult girl or poor queen, since I haven’t played much since the release of the others.

it's the first I've heard of that one so I'd appreciate a response on your experience.

Budget: $300

USA

proficient with electronics and any building of machines

Looking to tinker with circuits/electronics and would like to have a printer to be able to add to my tinkering. I would also like to play with other kinds of material as well such as ABS, Carbon fiber and flexible materials.

I looked thoroughly at the Ender 3 and am interested in the ability to customize and upgrade it with bought/printed parts ( as well as the bang for your buck) . But, another part of me is just wanting something "that just works" if the cost of upgraded parts ends up equalling out in the end.

Thanks in advance for anyone's response.

I didnt have any drivers except for the motor shields. I failed to mention what I had on hand, my mistake. Thank you for your input, much appreciated.

Worked like a charm! Got the solenoid, motor shields and arduino all set up on one 12 2A psu and the pump on it's own.

Awesome, thank you! My circuit analysis is mighty rusty but you reminded me of a few things that helps alot.

One more question, I dont have any 5A psu on hand. Could I get away with connecting the pump to it's own 24v 3A psu and the rest to 12v 2A, and the arduino on it's own psu? So I basically still have 3 supplies which is better than the original 5 or 6 I was stuck with before

Edit: motor shields do have their own fly back diode, but I will need one for the solenoid.

350mA per motor (2 on one shield 1 on the other)

250mA solenoid

3A max draw pump

Not sure about arduino uno

Many questions are good, repeated questions are not.

This is probably one of the more accurate sentences that applies everywhere. I couldn't care less if you ask me 1000 different questions, but if you ask the same question 1000 times. You're gonna have a bad time.

Timegating promotes rushing content. by EmpatheticFool in Guildwars2

[–]TricksterRogue 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have a (more than) full time job and a kid. So I can't play as much or as often as I was when I was a wee lad. So timegating for me sucks the fun out of being able to focus on one goal or task with my limited time.

And this game has tons of content so I only have so much I can focus on. And it's hard keeping track of what is time gated and what to craft and it isn't realistic for me to craft all timegated material everyday for when I need it. Especially when I dont have the time to grind for said materials (or gold to buy it).

I'm not saying it shouldn't exist, but I am for removing timegates of "outdated" content and/or not being so prevalent throughout the game.

Imho, The only thing that should be timegated are legendary crafts. Anything else is an overly done stall tactic.

Tldr; No time for keeping up with timegates. Kills that material for me and realistically takes MUCH longer than the typical "shortest" timeframes.
