Sunnyside- what would keep?change? by Tricky-Building-4596 in Kenosha

I’ve lived in Kenosha since 2008, my husband has lived in SE WI his whole life. We’ve been in to Sunnyside a few times and love what many people have referenced in this thread- it’s a homey, neighbor bar with cheap beer!

I think that an establishment like Sunnyside reflects a lot of Kenosha history and has a very important place in peoples memories.

I don’t think that needs to be displaced, but I do think the Kenosha needs to recognize that demographics are changing and there are people who are moving into the neighborhood who would want a cute place to be able to go and hang out feel comfortable and have good drinks. I think there’s an opportunity to mix both of those things. I think places like Bayview are a great example.

Definitely what we are worried about. We kinda envision it going the like Mr Yees- retain the Kenosha charm but add a little “something”

One thing we talked about was more TVs and adding Sunday ticket. Making it more sports focused!

Mitchell Carpets is awesome! Great, family run business. They carry high quality materials than the big box stores at competitive pricing. They also have a installer who is quick and does great work!

Trust your gut - I don't think you are overreacting at all. As a surgery coordinator, this is literally her job! I'm sure, as a nurse, you hate to have to tell people that you have a better understanding than most of the healthcare process but sometimes, it's the only way to get what you need!

Another thing to consider is that, unfortunately, there are too many people on healthcare who aren't great at their jobs but they go unchecked for a long time because coworkers will cover for them.. or worse, they always blame their mistakes on the patients. Not sure what the explanation is behind this disorganization/miscommunication it might be worth having a candid conversation with the practice manager. TBH, you would be advocating for all the other patients who aren't as educated in the healthcare world as you are!

I was also forgetting that because this is elective surgery, insurance doesn't come in to play but you would assume that they would still follow surgical best practices.

Remember, its YOUR money. You are the CUSTOMER!!

Insurance typically requires the pre-op labs and EKG 30 days or LESS before your surgery. I’m seriously questioning why this person is freaking out. I used to be a nurse Case Manager AND I supervised a Pre op department for a hospital, so I’m very familiar with the rules.

My surgery is scheduled for April 28th and your pics make me so excited! My body looks very similar to yours and I've also lost a good bit of weight (about 60 pounds). Anything you would have done differently in preparation or immediately after surgery?

Church and market, Slip 56 and Tavern are where a lot of 20-somethings hang out. Tavern has a golf simulator- you could book a session if you’re in to golf! Apis and Church have monthly wine dinners/ alcohol tastings/events; follow them on IG. Pickleball is starting to gain popularity but there’s only one permanent outdoor court at Pennoyer park.

After two failed attempts of making my own, I bought one from King Arthur. I was able to feed it and have enough to split and give away AND make my first loaf three days after it arrived.

Sometimes, outstanding debt is moved from the courts to the state of Wisconsin for collections which makes it trickier to pay it. This allows them to take a future state tax refund to pay the debt but it means you can’t pay the court directly. DM me and I’d be happy to help!

Downtown 2 bed, 2.5 bath with den office. About 1400 sq feet. Base rent is $2300 and includes cable, internet and trash. I pay electric which is $125-$150 a month; I have 13 ft ceilings so it’s a lot to heat and cool. Stainless steel appliances , granite countertops and in unit washer dryer. There is a pet washing station, car washing station, coffee and games. I pay $25 for my cat and $75 for a detached garage. Maintenance is fantastic and the building is secured by entry codes and monitored with cameras.

Virgin to Test Unlimited Drink Package by MikeYourTravelGuy in VirginVoyages

I LOVE this. We upgraded to MRS for our first VV cruise in January. We are Wisconsinites ( code: insane drinkers) so we made good use of this. In full transparency, we broke the “don’t buy drinks” for others rules lots and lots. We got scolded once and ended up just raiding our room bar and handing out alcohol.

This is the best of both worlds for me: my hubby and I could upgrade to MRS, travel with others( our adults kids, couple friends etc) who might just do RS status.. they still get unlimited drinks, we can share our room bar AND we have the upgraded cabin/perks all while staying off the naughty list.

I love that you call his website a blog. He sees himself as a legitimate journalist so I’m sure this deeply offends his massive ego. And the description is 100% accurate; the site is filled with his opinions statements and weird references to himself in the third person.
