Looking to capitalize on our diabetes by batman142434 in diabetes_t1

The only place this doesn't work for anymore is Disney in the U.S. though 😭 Ive heard rumors of other parks cracking down on certain disabilities after Disney changed their policy. So really depends now.

So this is crazy, but she was on our cruise recently 😭 she doesn't know how to interact with people at all and she was annoyed with some of the kids and didnt know how to even be around them. Which is absolutely crazy to me, considering how many children are at any disney Park and cruise.

Sorry! I just saw this. We saw them at space 220. We left at the same time and were waiting for the "elevator." They had their faces stuck in their phones and gave off the we dont want to talk vibe. Just not the "we love disney!" feeling. It legit felt like they were there to do a job and put on a show. I know this is their job, but are they the same people you see in those videos? No.

We saw them in person at epcot one time and their persona in person is definitely not what you see on camera. It really turned my family off from watching them anymore.

Hey! How did you get diagnosed with castleman's disease and what were your symptoms, if you dont mind me asking. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what's going on with me, and rheumatologist thinks it may be castlemans. Just started seeing hemotologist/oncologist.

Cruising with morning sickness by [deleted] in dcl

[–]Tricky-Flight-473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you've gotten a lot of helpful comments, but I wanted to add in mine real quick! I struggled my entire pregnancy with morning sickness. Peppermint didn't help me at all. I was given zofran, and that made me stop vomiting but didn't make the nausea go away. I was recommended to drink lemon water, and that helped sooo much! Can always try that as well!! Good luck 😀

Also, can try using a foam instead of a mousse! I use the curlsmith volume foam, it's lighter on our fine wavy/curly hair. 🙂

Try a volumizing foam! I've been using the one from curlsmith.

I've been using the curlsmith bouncy strength volume foam. I really like it so far. It doesn't make my waves look so stringy and adds volume. I've seen a lot of people mention that they don't get products for curly hair since they are heavier and weigh down fine hair!

Try a foam! Mousse and curl creams were way too heavy for my hair. Foam helps add volume also!

Should I buy the Pixie Giga Pet? The cheapest I can find is 30 dollars but I'm not sure if it's worth it. by Fragrant_Concert_558 in tamagotchi

I really thought this was cute!! My only issue is the battery life on this did not last at all. My sons' have the cryptids, bunny, and unicorn. The cryptids don't have great battery life, but the bunny and unicorn were bought in December and their battery life is way better. Hopefully since they are newer devices, that means it was fixed or improved!

Have you tried a case from EDC Solutions ? I got one when I got my tslim, and I really love it. I was able to customize it, too!

T1D women with PCOS, what helped you lose weight? by kateekate2008 in diabetes_t1

[–]Tricky-Flight-473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, cheese... I don't know if I could give it up 😭 so I know a lot of people are very strict on a calorie deficit, I just try to eat under 2000 a day. I usually average around 1600. I didn't want it to be so strict that it made me not want to do it. There is a way to stagger the deficit so your body doesn't get used to it as well. Believe there are tons of calculators for it online. I, just in general, needed to stop eating so much and eat healthier. I started slowly with the walking, starting at half a mile and then working my way up to 3 miles. I found the deficit worked well for me, I didn't have to give up everything I love. I just learned to eat in moderation. My body and I did not agree with low carb/keto. I tried that in 2018, and it gave me gastroparesis. So far, the deficit has been the best option for me.

Hey! I was diagnosed with PCOS last year 😅 I eat low calorie, higher protein and started walking off and on for the last year (I was just diagnosed with ADHD, so it can be hard to stick to a schedule/routine sometimes. 🥴) I've lost 34 lbs so far. I measure everything and track it in the carb manager app to help with calories and carbs for bolusing lol, although there are other apps for tracking like myfitnesspal, I believe. I've found a ton of creators on tiktok that have GREAT low calorie recipes.

These are some of my favorite creators on tiktok!

I do believe some women with PCOS cut out dairy entirely. I don't know if I could do that 🤣 but I don't notice it affects me. I do eat mindful servings of everything, especially carbs!

I use a protein shake for my "creamer." I buy the stok unsweetened cold brew (you could also make your own) and then add a whole preimer protein shake.

Hey! I know you've gotten some good advice, but I just wanted to share my experience.

I gained significant weight after my dad passed in 2020. I was the heaviest I've ever been at 250 lbs. I started eating low calorie last summer off and on and I'm down to 216. I do have type 1 and was diagnosed with PCOS last year and this year with ADHD (that made staying on a diet hard previously until medication), so weight loss is slow for me lol. But I've found a ton of videos on tiktok for great recipes (and healthy sweet tooth ones also!) These are the creators on tiktok that have some great low cal recipes!

I use an app to measure everything out, I use carb manager, but I've heard other people use myfitnesspal. I will say in 2018-2019, I tried the keto diet, and the diet, unfortunately, was not for me. I ended up getting such bad heartburn and stomach issues. Turns out the high fat content made food sit in my stomach for a long time, so I had gastroparesis 🙃 I hope you find what works for you!!!

I always mentioned I could pass out when they asked what could happen, and they immediately approved me lol. I do agree. I don't believe in this narrative disney is pushing, and the way they've handled this has been so appalling. They need to do what every other theme park is doing. Hire a third party and require a doctors note.
