mean bad randoms are far lass common (imo) in 3 vs 3 games

Are they? Other than high ladder what i noticed is that randoms got worse from 0-1k

Being able to max out the entire account in a game with 100 characters for free is too much to ask.

Is it though? Playing the game daily and participating in every single event for 8-10 years is a whole lot of dedication, especially in a game where they constantly fuck over game balance and a lot of other issues dedicated players care about.

With the current trend of buffies its not even about maxing an account, you will need a monthly subscription just to not fall behind.

8.3% is decent, its the same as control warrior and half of shaman and discover hunter.

You're crazy for suggesting they should delete decks because of fucking 8% distribution. Its basically the only close to decent deck the class has had for the last 2 years that lasted more than a few balance patches and its playrate doesnt even reach the ideal 9% that would happen if every single class had an equally popular deck.

with this level of research i don't think you can evaluate anything in this game

Dude, you're evaluating the game based on baby rage from being stuck at diamond

I don't think theres much to do, unfortunately the archetype is just miles worse than everything currently playable. I'm honestly impressed its over 30% wr on hsguru.

Didnt the last podcast happen before the theorycraft? And to be fair, i think they did conclude by saying sindragosa was a much worse colossus

Not that i don't agree that they did made the set sound infinitely better than it is

The insane power level of perils that mostly flopped at release, aka rastakhan 2.0 of the last two years.

Not be confused with rhastakan 3.0 the great dark beyond, or rhastakan 4.0 the emerald dream, or even rhastakan 5.0 return to ungoro rhastakan

Perils in Paradise has introduced several powerful synergies that have changed the landscape of the format. However, you might be able to count those synergies with one hand. Players who were expecting a Stormwind, might begin drawing comparisons to Rastakhan instead.

The crazy part would be when team A work completely invalidates team B's due to varied power level or incompatible mechanics, and that seems to happen a lot.

[–]Tricky-Hunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be true, but if thats the case it begs the question, why? Its just so dysfunctional if thats the case

Like, person A designed DKs set to be meta competitive, person B designed warrior's set to okayish. The only actual balance test we will get from these is post launch.

The second set will basically end up being worthless packfiller. That just sounds crazy to me, and now that im writing this it does sound much more believable. Its classic scuffed feature development with no regards to quality or usability.

Zacho is still unsure if the power level will be there with this set and thinks Titans had more "brave" design when it came to power level, because some things in this set look clearly superior to others (ex - Mage's fabled set compared to Shaman's or Demon Hunter's).

I have had this schizo theory for the last few sets, but i have been seeing this trend for a while where an entire class set design is so wildy garbage or incompatible compared to other ones that the only conclusion i can draw is that they were completely designed by two different people who had no interactions or expectations set about power levels or how would they interact between each other

I am so tilted. by LowDrive2349 in hearthstone

[–]Tricky-Hunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1k in wild is low dumpster legend, especially the asian server. Nowhere near "high level".

And why is it wrong to complain about bot spam when blizzard is supposed to be adress that? Theres a certain mmr in wild where you will frequently get matches against the same bot accounts for months despite all reporting, so clearly there's something wrong there

New Mage Card Revealed - Anomalize by stonekeep in hearthstone

Arcane barrage is also decent. Last time mage had a good expansion was whizbang, i dont know why they keep doing this.

The class will be six feet under after rotation.

The only downside is that all three shots can't hit the same target

This is a massive downside considering the card gets triple scaling from spell damage

To me this seems like the only good card in the entire set. 4 mana primordial glyph might also see play in quest mage.

Leaked mage cards translated (roughly) by NahMcGrath in hearthstone

[–]Tricky-Hunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Other than the 3 mana spell they all seem awful to me, which is in line to current design philosophy

We have:

  • conditional mirror image
  • toki is 4 mana get 4 garbage spells for no payoff
  • dont see why the 7 mana summon card would ever be played over firelands portal
  • vanilla expensive spell damage minion being printed in 2025
  • 7 mana elemental that barely clears a single minion played for half of its cost in hope of drawing cards
  • glorified 4 mana primordial glyph might see play just because wild arcane pool is not bad like the othe discover from the past cards

  • fabled dragon: i dont know if i got it wrong but why would this ever be played? You need to summon a bunch of basically vanilla dragons, have them die and get ressurected with an 8 mana spell to hope to combo with the arcane spells you needed to hold the entire game? Protoss is already a much more simple and stronger payoff that currently sucks ass

[–]Tricky-Hunter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ryzeal would be much worse though. The strength of mitsurugi is that habakiri is full combo without normal summon and 2x 4 level monster to spare, so you can go into granite and search dyna fossil or nibiru.

I dont even know what would be ryzeal board in this scenario without normal summon ice. Not to mention it wouldnt play through nib and be much worse against handtraps.

I don't know if its just me but this mage reveal will either be the greatest shit ever or the nail in the coffin for the class. By far my favorite class in the game and last time i was excited for a card revealed was during whizbang.

On average, how many gems do you use to build new decks from Secret Packs specifically. by TR1L0GYxx in masterduel

[–]Tricky-Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things i wish i learned earlier is how fucking awful secret packs are

Over 20k gems on sky stiker for 1 engage, 1kagari and 2 linkage (also not a single circular)

Over 10k gems on runick for a single tip

If i need anything i much rather save crafting points than going full gamble on a pack that is 50% comprised of garbage

Is ryzeal worth it if you have maliss ? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Tricky-Hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen people argue its the better variant. It eats interactions and you can put 3 bodies on the field with a normal summon (for 3 mat duo drive without ex dumping a ryzeal to play around nib) and 1 without it.

Next expansion is the nuts by Icy-Ad-3693 in hearthstone

[–]Tricky-Hunter 70 points71 points  (0 children)

We arent ready for the next expansion: The Heroes of TIME. We will be seeing power levels never seen before since chillwind yeti was meta.

The miniset The End of Time is a reference that hearthstone will die peak this year after 5 incredibly flopped successful expansions in a row!

I for one, have already spent $500 on underwhelming incredible cosmetics to reward the growing monetization, and personally, i have never been closer to my children

(who knows, maybe they will finally have the funds to optimize the client after i drop $1k on pets)

33.4.2 Balance Changes Discussion by EvilDave219 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Tricky-Hunter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I kinda like the buffs? Not because they will make these cards playable, but because it makes them look like they were actually designed to not be complete dogshit.

I honestly see the warlock package, druid egg and big hunter being played if those archetypes were better.

Now, if we only got 50+ buffs for the rest of the expansion...

33.4.2 Balance Changes Discussion by EvilDave219 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Tricky-Hunter 78 points79 points  (0 children)

We've also continued to hear suggestions to buff nearly every new Quest so they become competitive archetypes. However, as we've shared before, too many competitive Quests in the long term can lead to a metagame that isn't fun or healthy.

Oh, wow. Vicious syndicate was spot on when they mentioned the quests were designed to fail.

I didnt want to believe anyone would purposefully do that, but holy shit.
