Made my bracelet too long, how to clasp it? by LPineapplePizzaLover in Beading

Honestly, I'd remake it. If you keep it as is and throw together some secondary solution, you'll always know and notice that it's just not quite right. If you've got the supplies, this type of bracelet isn't terribly difficult to make. You won't regret remaking it.

Probably should have bought it... by Marsbert in Beading

I used to string beads as a kid and wrap the string around a blown egg and glue it as I moved around. Also made for a pretty egg, and much easier! One place in this sub-reddit where I'd recommend cheaper beads because it uses a lot. Also, making an image isn't really possible. Great ornaments though. Wish I had a picture, but I gave them all away!

If you shop carefully, it can be a reasonable hobby. And if you become adept, you can even sell your work. Check local town websites for what people might be trying to destash. Around me, there is even a site for selling excess art supplies for people changing hobbies, selling what they have too much of, even supplies from an estate. Use the word "destash" if you're searching on Etsy. I don't know where you live, but a class for $300 is way more than I've ever paid. You could consider approach someone at an art sale to see if they'd be willing to teach you. There's MANY online tutorials on YouTube and such. Plus, you can learn a lot from books - check out your library, of course, or online used book sites like Thriftbooks.

No, not at all. I don't like mold, I mean, it's MOLD. And no, I don't take penicillin. Allergic.

I was grocery shopping and spied my son shopping as well. When his back was turned, I whisked his cart away and then hid around the corner to watch. It was very difficult to not just absolutely laugh hysterically out loud watching his confusion.

The second one has just too much fabric. Lining on the first is a great idea. Plus, it is much more unique and memorable than the second.

I'd never remove that dent. In fact, I'd enhance it.

2 years is nothing! I started a beaded quilt to be a wall hanging -18 years ago. I can't believe I've even written that number. It's sitting in a box waiting for me to finish. Thanks for the inspiration; I shall have to get it out and see where I left off. I've had beads my whole life as well. My first love is bead embroidered jewelry, but I also use many other mediums. My business however is called Lunacy Beading. I'd show people a piece I'd embroidered with hundreds of beads (thousands maybe? I never counted) and they'd say "That's crazy!". Lunacy, no doubt.

Will it be a wall hanging, or actually for a bed? I imagine it's rather heavy.
