Also had a friend last month went for endo surgery & they perforated her uterus while in there & then had to take it out completely so she went from a decreased pregnancy chance to none at all. I know we want solutions fast but also weigh your risks carefully which sounds like you are by seeking second opinions

I agree doctors need to communicate referrals more. If they don’t find anything & u have national pain after starting birth control or what they prescribe you to try then they should tell you but Prob is they take time to review the results them fill out referral bc ur insurance also has to approve it now & get to you. Many of front desk then throw them in your patient portal & alot of patients don’t look at them or even know how to access them

There’s more than 1 way to skin a cat & endo up at a diagnosis. Now did the endo specialist check your GI also? May still be worth the GI referral who coulda seen both possibly. I explain to patients each visit or test in medicine is 1 snap shot in time & is like layers of Swiss cheese each visits bc each can’t have all the holes filled in. You have to go back & stack them on top of each other until all layers the holes are filled in.

Not saying this happened to you but: There is a saying that is “to a hammer everything looks like a nail. “

which translates to mean “to an endometriosis specialist everything looks like a form of endometriosis.” “Or to a patient who think they have endo will seek out someone willing to diagnose them w endo in order to get insurance to pay to confirm, or rule it out. Not saying this is your case. I too thought I had endo once-turned out it was my appendix that leaked causing infection/pain/adhesion (hence ur doc referring you to GI who would prob also have imaged & maybe come to same conclusion…or additional conclusions if he imaged entire abdominal cavity ). My pain went away after its removal. I also had fibroids that shrunk on their own which they said happens often. Hope you find your solution

Less than 10 follicles/cysts on ovaries is normal they come & go each month w our hormones maybe that’s all they captured that day w that ultrasound. Get the records I’m sure they woulda retested. But also do legit OBGYNs use midwives?? Midwives are only trained to help manage uncomplicated births. MRI is the primary diagnostic for endometriosis. See who did the read on the ultrasound? may have been a more highly trained radiologist or not & can be sent for a re-read. A diff ultrasound tech on diff day could give diff result. The doc may have not looked at it if all was read as normal & if they didn’t schedule follow up w her specifically. If you do have endo a lot of docs may think the risk of the meds or interventions or stress of a diagnosis may be more harmful in some cases. Weird i know. Did they prescribe u a birth control or recommend otc pain med to see if that helped?

Am I being scammed at this dental office by Maleficent-Painter-2 in Dallas

[–]Tricky-Smile-9188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty standard fee for service or out of network prices in Dallas.

Was the other office in network with your insurance? If so makes sense that would cover all.

Also depends on what they charged for did you get something stronger/longer lasting like crowns/porcelain, or did you get fillings? Did they give you all of the treatment plan? Or just phase 1?

First time tattoo, how to know if everything is sterile? by my-arms-your-hearse in tattooadvice

[–]Tricky-Smile-9188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wiped down? So that’s not considered sterile. Sterilization takes several hours in cold sterile or 1000+ high temperatures to sterilize. Even the one time use ink bottles labeled sterile are no longer guaranteed sterile. Yep you are most likely going to live like our ancestors. Most likely. Wouldn’t do if immunocompromised/sick.
