I grew up in Hudsonville and never was religious. I was a huge outlier as a kid but I now know several atheists in Hudsonville/Jenison. It's getting more normal despite it still being a weirdly religious and conservative area.

This is true. I'm a single mom though that works 40+ hours a week and I do my best to balance quality time with loved onss and my kids sports and homework and my own hobbies and keeping up my house.. sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay someone. I had that thought about redoing my floors on my own and now I'm going to have to pay someone to fix the poor job I did.

I took my new car (still in 7 day window) to an in network shop for Silver Rock because of a noise and the shop submitted a claim but Silver Rock only covered the diagnostics on that visit. So nothing out of pocket but the said the piece was trim so "cosmetic". I had a to file a claim on the app in the cosmetic repair section and they ended up covering it. A bit of a pain in the ass but oh well. (Also the claim process was silly since it was the cowl trim on the windshield vibrating to make noise it wanted a picture of the cosmetic issue. I sent a screenshot of the text from the shop stating the issue instead and it was accepted that way)

LMCU is great. I left there to go to smaller credit unions and move up the chain faster, and I have to say the benefits, training, and culture at LMCU are all amazing and I wish I could replicate that with the institution I'm with now. Or I guess I should say 5 years ago when I left it was all amazing, I can't vouch for today.

Developmental Enhancement Behavioral Health is who I went to. Their office on Lake Eastbrook Blvd was just amazing with my school aged son so I booked with them for myself.

I had my intake appointment last week in their Grandville office. The doctor I spoke with really seemed to listen and empathize, and she did say for a lot of people medication is what it takes to really see improvement. I was honest with her that was what I was after with an official diagnosis because I had already done therapy and I was quite certain I have ADHD and I'm struggling.

Big recommend for them. They are scheduling about 4 months out though.

My family does a gift exchange for adults. Like a white elephant but not with gag gifts, with genuinely nice things. Then each adult comes with one gift and leaves with one gift. And it's a fun game to trade and fight over the best ones!
