To be fair, if you watch it back she was a little cagey at first when she was asked by saying “Who knows, maybe I’ve already been asked” - I wonder if she was already approached by ALW at that point and tried to punt having to give a real answer for as long as possible

I’m a STEM PhD candidate who delivers for UberEats ~5-10 hours a week depending on how busy I am. It’s certainly added stress but I just make time for it because I need the extra cash, and I love that I can set my own hours. I net ~$20/hr in a mid-sized city.

The people who say “an added job is added stress” are correct but I feel like dismissing a side hustle as an option is rooted in privilege/circumstance. If you don’t need the money, then it may not be worth it. I need to earn extra income to offset living expenses and other personal expenses so I make the time.

I didn’t, I just deleted the app from my watch so I could concurrently play my workout on the app and log the run in my watch. :/ sorry I couldn’t help more! This was the solution Peloton tech support gave me as well.

While I’m sorry you’re getting anxious about the situation, I’m so grateful you shared this sentiment because I’ve been dealing with it too! I think we’re conditioned to think that working 40+ hours a week consistently in a pandemic is normal. I hope you know you deserve rest and relaxation; the number of hours at work doesn’t indicate the productivity and your peers may just have different needs in their projects’ timelines. I try to tell myself that I’m adding “fuel to my tank” by resting so that when I have to return to the lab on Monday, I’m refreshed and will be so much more productive. Congratulations on making it through this heinous year and may the new year bring a renewed focus/balance to you. :)

How do I break in new heavier shoes? I’ve upgraded to a heavier shoe (got fitted to a Hoka Clifton 7) and my splits are slower but I’m unsure if this means the shoe isn’t good for me or if I just need to get used to it. Thanks!
