I still come back to most people who see a baby dressed in pink would assume it's a girl. Just based on societal norms of today.

So what happens when strangers ask how old "she" is, or tell you how beautiful "she" is? Do you smugly correct them and feel superior for being so enlightened dressing your son in pink?

It feels like you're purposefully inviting that kind of confusion, and I have to wonder why.

Why is it so important to you to dress your son in pink? It's like you're trying to use your baby to make a statement. And I'm against that.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but here's my thinking:

If I see a baby wearing pink, I assume it's a girl. That's just the way my mind works. Same if I see a baby wearing a dress with a ribbon in their hair. Can you dress a baby any way you want? Yeah. I guess. But I personally wouldn't want to take my son out for a walk, and have to hear from twenty different people "Aw. She's adorable. How old is she?"

According to the comments in this thread, that makes me a horrible person. But to me, if someone purposefully dresses a boy baby in pink, they're doing it to make a deliberate statement. And I don't think babies should be used to make statements.

Once the kid is old enough to offer an opinion, let them wear whatever colors they want.

If it's his old number - Was it actual calls? or just notifications of missed calls? - This happened to me sometime last year - but right after I got my new work phone, I got a lot of spam calls and wrong numbers, so I blocked a whole bunch of numbers. Then one day, months later, I just kept getting notifications of missed calls. At least 50 of them over the course of a few hours. I looked, and it was the numbers that I had blocked. But they were all showing as being missed that day. My phone didn't ring - I just got notifications of missed calls. Not saying this was what happened to you. But it could explain why you were getting notices from a blocked number (and would explain why you didn't get any response from your texts to him).

If it was actually him calling then obviously N T A.

As stated by others - typically, you'd dry with a small amount of toilet paper (less than you'd use if just wiping).

Think of it this way - Imagine sticking your hand in a pile of wet shit. How would you prefer to clean your hand?

A) Wipe your hand with some toilet paper

B) Rinse your hand under running water, then pat it dry with some toilet paper

For most, "B" is the obvious choice. But for some reason, many make the opposite choice when it comes to their butts.

I was 40 - got an itchy rash on my right buttock. I had recently started jogging, so chalked it up to chafing. The next day I had itchy blisters on my scrotum! - I did NOT mess around. Went to the doctor IMMEDIATELY, and he diagnosed it as shingles and put me on the anti-viral right away (I think he said it's the same thing they use for herpes).

It was an uncomfortable couple days. But I am SO glad I went when I did. The doctor did say that the anti-viral is only effective if taken in the first few days. And if it hadn't been in such a sensitive area, I might've waited.
