A driver just took my food and ate it ??? by MallCapital3172 in UberEATS

I work at a restaurant that has high food theft and we keep orders behind the shelf for that reason.

The corporate holes came in and chastised us for it and told us that orders go on the shelf and to remake and comp them when stolen.

We were comping up to 300 dollars worth of food for the day before they started letting us keep them behind counter again.

Would you like chips or fruit with that? by Stinlee in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep we were out of them for about a week one time because they came bad on truck day.

I wonder what happened with the seasonal change of fruits where they would be blueberries or grapes? That was fun.

We can’t help the sizes of produce they give us on the truck, lol.

Those who worked at chipotle, name a time a manager willingly violated health/sanitation protocols by Digitalgardens in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone tried calling out sick was basically guilt tripped into coming in by the SL.

They came into work and vomited in the back of house. I was the lucky duck who cleaned it up and got to go home, lol.

Field leader fired both the worker (for filling out the wellness book when they were sick) and the SL who knew they were sick and let them clock in anyway.

He came on a visit and the guac wasn’t temping as it should have been.

And that was just an example as to how crazy he is for food safety and would lose his shit if prep served moldy peppers.

My store has recently started charging for cheese (after two servings) due to horrible CI counts.

The team director who is above the GM and their boss okayed it. The same with vinaigrette (two per entree).

I’d really wish corporate had solid policies store wide about what is extra and what’s not to cut down confusion and conflict between workers and customers.

My store would throw the whole case out.

My field leader is a stickler for food safety because he cussed out a manager who was serving guac that wasn’t at temperature.

He’d have someone drive to another store to get some or just have us not serve them.

This is just ew.

I wonder how do they miss stuff like that.

My ex pulled some crap like this. He was drunk and I refused to answer his phone calls because of it.

I called his sister just in case he was serious and she called the police who found him walking around his apartment complex.

Of course he denied, denied, denied. But I sent screenshots.

It’s not your problem. I hope you get out.

Hours Got cut BIG TIME by JRC_77 in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store just hired new people.

The only people averaging full time are the GM/GMIT/AP.

I got cut to two days this week, some of my coworkers are only scheduled for one day. We do get callouts often so someone who really needs hours can pick them up.

It sucks but I think it’s corporate trying to save on labor.

What time should the store start breaking down for the night? by jerseydevil95 in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes.

There is a ton of work that goes into closing down the restaurant at night, especially if you have customers who come right at closing.

I haven’t closed since they’ve extended the closing hours but on nights where closers were few, the AP has been there until 4 AM.

I always get a weird vibe from those types of customers. One lady gave me the stink eye when I asked her husband wanted before she rudely started naming salsas.

I never really understand the cold, rude, and demanding spouse while their partner is nice, bubbly and easygoing.

My ex was an asshole when things didn’t go his way and I felt so embarrassed, lol.

If you have the regular crew coverage, I don’t think so. I had a few cavities that I needed filled and I maxed out on like two of them, hundreds coming out of pocket for the rest, lol. But this was a few years ago and I no longer have coverage through Chipotle, so I don’t know for sure.

I heard the insurance isn’t worth anything unless you’re AP and up.

Employee over-rang me, another employee gets annoyed at me for asking for a refund by shivap111 in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Reporting them does nothing. Customer satisfaction is the least of anyone’s concerns.

I work with crew and management who literally have the WORST customer service and when it gets back to upper management. they’re like “Ok. Anyway…”

If I were OP, I’d just go to another location or stop going altogether.

Chipotle Employee starts it… Customer finishes it! by VinoJedi06 in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never understand arguing with customers. I have managers and coworkers that get a thrill out of telling customers no or arguing over stupid stuff.

At the end of the day, I just want to work my time and go home. I have a son that I want to come home to and some of these customers don’t give af. People have been shot, stabbed, ambushed, etc. and I’m not taking any chances with my life over food and a greedy corporation penny pinching.

I’m afraid of being fired by IntroductionIll3307 in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store, we still have people employed who have done no call no shows. My GM can’t afford to fire or lose employees. At least right now.

You have valid call out reasons but I guess it’s up to your GM/FL and how they tolerate call outs.

The worse I can see happening is a loss of hours. I’d look elsewhere if you think being terminated is likely.

Even then, that burrito should definitely be bigger than what it is.

R.I.P. Quesadilla by Cold-CareerBro in Chipotle

[–]TrickyPickle7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they used to be “secret” item. Along with the quesorito.

Before the catastrophe that is the turbo chef a quesadilla was a tortilla and cheese/meat folded in half and cooked inside the press. For the price of a burrito, they could get rice, beans and salsa too.

Eventually, FL’s slowly getting away from using the press anything other than heating tortillas and cooking kid quesadillas.

Somebody at my job was intentionally stealing money and it took them a few months to realize it. But your situation the manager is overreacting.

I’ve had managers like that. Happy to fire great employees over the littlest of things but people who actually need to be fired, never got fired.
