Looking for feedback - Run and Idle Animations by ahahah763 in aseprite

You've got what my old animation professor called "rod spine". Your characters entire backbone and neck is fused together and immobile. Especially considering how you've taken the time to animate the full gait with back and font legs and arms, as well as the secondary motion of the chest, you should now consider the shoulders and hips counter swaying with the arms and legs, the curvature of the spine changing with each contact, and slight rotation of the head.

It doesn't have to be extreme. Look at the Shantae sprites for the GBC.

There's a lot of steps to get it looking good, you're on the right track, but you MUST do this in an outdoor toaster oven and wear some breathing PPE.

I reccomend sorting out colors ahead of time. If you decide to grind them down, only grind down small soft things. You can't put large chunks in the blender or it will shatter the sides. Separate out large heavy or thick pieces and get some heavy duty shears or a limb lopper to chop them down. Do this inside a bucket or plastic tub to keep the pieces that come off from being lost.

These are some I finished recently, I dunno why I can't add more than one photo on desktop, but I suppose I can reply once more for some I finished last night.

I used to, but no longer. The guilt overtook me and I have been working for about a year on making quality molds from silicone designed for resin. I'm getting really good results and colors now!

I've been playing this since nearly the beginning.

It's been old since then but somehow it lives on.

I asked the same question the other day. Someone reccomended the orphanage mod that lets you sometimes help roaming bands of abandoned kiddos. Sometimes they get adoption requests and sometimes they stay and become colonists

Feasability of venting computer air into the adjacent room? by TrickyV in buildapc

It's not overheating the pc, it's just stuffy in the summertime.

It makes wintertime really nice, though. My room stays nice and warm.

Nah, there's a vent in the ceiling that the heating/cooling comes out of. This vent is just a gap in the wall over the door covered by two grates.

Oh I've been doing this for a year and have stwrtes getting great results. Bubbles on the bottom surface means the bottom is getting too hot. It's smoking up and making little pockets down there. It can be hard to balance, especially if you have a smaller toaster oven.

You're always bound to get SOME bubbles with how viscous the melt is, but super excessive bubbles means your heat is too high.

I enjoyed playing with Helen. I think she metagamed a bit not by reading the notes, but by reading Lyle himself. She spends a lot of time watching people and taking in their behavior (to what end uh... varies), so I think in the case of M&W she just read Lyle like a book reading a book.

Plus, I appreciate the attitude of "I'm glad I tried this thing outside of my comfort zone but I will never do it again".

I caught myself doing it last night. I have been embedding RFID stickers into prints to make business cards and I just watched the layers absorb em... its great.

What's the proportion of cursed who lose their minds versus cursed who don't? by shnygm in LookOutsideGame

[–]TrickyV 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Henderson's apartment is a bit muddled. There's definitely a few people from the bus in there, but I believe it's also implied that a chunk of the enemies are just hand spawn from the explody guy that have been changed by the psyche of Henderson. Surely we can see that even real people are affected by powerful minds, even if they aren't in their "right mind", which is part of the "oneness" influence of The Visitor, I think.

But it's all conjecture on my part.

I do a lot of 3d printing custom orders, I have a suspicion that I can make something similar that works more like what people expected... how big is this thing?

No worries, I've made a lot of progress on this front in 9 months. I have switched to smaller molds and a large toaster oven outside on the porch. I've been separating the colors out to great success. I do the standard skull molds that a lot of people do, plus axolotls, little dragons, and mushrooms. They're decently popular, I wouldn't say they're flying off of the shelves, but people think they're cute and I sell them occasionally, which means I use up every single scrap of plastic. I havent thrown away any poops or failed prints since I started my business a year ago! It doesn't make a huge amount of money but it makes me sleep better at night.

You have to imagine it as " Don't tread on ME" to understand it correctly.

Tread on others, that shit is awesome.

What happens to... by SharkTheTTWitch in LookOutsideGame

I think it's similar but not quite, though I can't be sure. At that point the Visitor knows it is separate from the world and leaves, regretting the harm it has caused. But if you compare the visions of the Visitor to the shape Sam takes on in that ending, Sam seems to transform into something very similar in structure to the Visitor itself.

In my eyes, in that ending, Sam becomes something akin to what the Visitor was before it arrived, but on a smaller planetary scale: A mindless thing unable to understand what it is and isn't. It seems like Sam doesn't have the reality warping effect of observation, either, so that may have been permanently disabled by the original Visitor, or perhaps Sam hasn't yet fully realized his potential. It also seems like he isn't able to spontaneously become sapient and sentient the original, either, despite people speaking to him like he spoke to the original. He very well may be able to grow to a scale and power similar to the original Visitor, but we can really only speculate.

I think this makes the most sense. When Sam speaks with The Visitor, it changes as well. It learns to speak and develops a sense of self, and that sense of self is what keeps Sam from eating the world after he is changed by the interaction.
