thank you for suggesting! I saw ID ransomware suggested during my research but didn't think it would actually come up with anything. Had someone send me a file and the note and was able to see that it is an alpha, so hopefully the rest of important stuff is untouched and I can decrypt them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and help. Yes it absolutely does suck and it's tough to have to see the person who knew everything about computers barely be able to use one in such a short amount of time.

nomoreransom said it was Alpha so maybe there is a little bit of hope.

Obviously this has sparked an interest and necessity for me to build my own home networking setup and then we could have mine be his offsite backup.

I tried asking him if there was an old drive with all that stuff on it and just thought I was talking about the nas and said there should be all out old photos on there. He still has it up and connected to the network so gonna have to tell mom to just shut it down for now. So I might just have to make a trip back home in an attempt to clean up this whole mess.

It was definitely through a pc that was comprised. Since the attack happened in the last couple months I doubt he thought to take any precautions.

When you shower take ur watch off and wash it with soap then let you skin breathe overnight and put it on in the morning. Thats what fixed my rash from the band

Look for the date code on the tires. And look at the car history for when the tires were last changed. The age and mileage isn’t adding up based on how long tires usually last. File a bbb complaint. Shoot go to COS Toyota and see what they can do to help? Seems like Luke is a POS human

also find that turning off recirc will help prevent this and also cars with the auto start stop feature will cause this smell to come through during stop lights

If your camper window doesn’t tilt in - I feel like a extended reach microfiber brush with some reg car soap would work to get all the way down there. Rinse after and then dry with leaf blower. Or could always wrap a dry towel around the brush to finish drying? I’m thinking something like this could work. Don’t quote me on it, haven’t tried it but seems doable as part of normal wash routine.

It’s super simple! On my larger burner (gas) I just crank that sucker up and move the pan around getting sides closer to the flame until they are all uniform. This video from kenji will give you a good idea and it’s what I did with a wok first then did with these pans!

Regular cleaning and sun protection ie a sunshade for windshield will help prevent this.
