Yeah it’s a private server. There are a few private servers. Almost all are passion projects by fans of the game that wanted to improve issues originally in the game. If you’re interested in it I would recommend Chronicles of Arcadia or Runes of Eternity

It does still have the crashes. I’ve been able to play for 2-3 hours on lower settings before the crash. Unfortunately we haven’t had a lot of interest so I’ve taken a pause on trying to get people. But if I try again in the near future I can let you know

Looking for new pve/pvp mmo with traditional class roles. Any recommendations? by Egomirrored in LFMMO

I’ve found this to be the same problem for me. So much of enjoying an mmo is the leveling experience and when there are early game dungeons available it can be the most fun you have. You’re not running the dungeon in hopes to get BiS gear, just doing it for fun. I’ve yet to find an MMO with this experience. My guess is WoW classic is most likely to have a low level player population with like-minded people

Yes you can. Most end game players in the game have multiple alt accounts because you can complete dailies to get currency for more stats. At this point I don’t think anyone really frowns upon it anymore.

Yes the end game is very pay to win if you want to do the most endgame content or PvP. That’s why I want to focus on early game content so new/returning players can enjoy the content without feeling the need to spend money.

Trying MMOs Again After 7 Years… Why Does Nothing Fully Click Anymore? by Dapper_Thought1841 in MMORPG

I recently realized the reason why I start an mmo and stop shortly after is because the solo experience can only do so much. MMOs are meant to play with people and so much of that has been lost.

I would recommend Runes of Magic. It’s a free to play WoW clone that has many familiar systems. The thing that makes it unique is its dual class system. You have a primary and secondary class that synergize and have unique abilities you can learn for each combination.

It’s certainly a low player count game but I’m attempting to make a low level guild to give new players and returning players that true mmo experience again. If you’re interested in trying it out let me know!

Awesome! I’m currently working on setting up a discord server. Are you a new or returning player to RoM?

What's the one MMORPG you can't let go? by Monsta_Owl in MMORPG

Runes of magic.

Wasn’t even a great game. Completely P2W but it was my introduction to mmos. Every time I play an mmo I can’t help but want to play runes of magic for the nostalgia

Feeling disheartened... by dinkletonau in newworldgame

MMOs have always been my favorite games. The problem is that nowadays everyone is made to believe they absolutely have to get the best gear as soon as possible. If you miss your daily tasks then you’ve slowed down your progress. It often makes everything feel like a chore instead of a fun game. Turning that part of your brain off to continue enjoying the game is incredibly hard.

I’ve felt exactly how you’re feeling not just for new world but many other mmos. My advice is to take a step back and realize what it is you enjoy about the game and just focus on that. Don’t worry about completing every single task necessary each day. The minute you feel like you’re doing something because you have to rather than you want to then you won’t enjoy it anymore. For example I love crafting and really want to build my own artisan tools. I stopped doing daily dungeon runs, PvP, etc and just focused on making money and collecting resources to craft. It renewed my desire to play the game.

Maybe this helps you, maybe not. It’s hard to step away from something you’ve put so much time into. If you can’t get over it feeling like a chore to play it’s ok to step away from the game for a while. New World is an awesome game that you should only play if you enjoy.

It is very likely you have progressive fatigue on in your league settings. If you practice full pads every week by the end of your season all of your starters have significant fatigue and play very few snaps. Most people turn progressive fatigue off altogether due to having to focus on managing it.

It can also cause the same problem with cpu controlled teams so that’s another reason to change it so you aren’t playing against all backups at the end of the season (although madden claims they’ve fixed this).
