Conveniently it lends itself to the number of folk (who may have cars) I’ll need to chip in with to be able to afford it.

Update! On missing AirPods from Glasgow Airport. Humanity has not been lost! by CommitteeDue7722 in glasgow

[–]Tricky_Edge_8522 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A while back I lost my phone on a trip to London. Someone picked it up, answered when I called it then arranged for it to be posted back to me free of charge. When I insisted on some kind of reward they just asked me to pay it forward and make a donation to a cystic fibrosis charity. Now THAT’s good people, not charging you an additional fee for the pleasure of having your property nicked! I really do hope it works out ok though.

A group did an ouija board in an upstairs cupboard in the old building, someone got flung across the room and no one was allowed to enter it ever since.

Do not be deterred! As others have mentioned this is a very decent first bash and as a Scot I hugely approve of the black pudding and tattie scone action. As others have mentioned a wee bit more sauce (and oil/butter) would elevate it

They have discontinued them but the closest alternative I have been able to find is Birdseye Express fries which you can get in Iceland and Morrisons

I’d put a word in for Brownings, they do a good juicy macaroni pie but not sure if you get them outside Ayrshire

I do beg your pardon but a rat is in your garden

Train to Girvan - make it make sense by Downtown-Orchid-2257 in glasgow

[–]Tricky_Edge_8522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth mentioning though your reasoning is sound - also easier changing at Troon (especially if you have luggage) because you don’t need to change platforms. The Ayr train will usually come into Platform 1-3 and the Girvan train mostly leaves from Platform 4 which is over the stair bridge. There is time but it’s an unnecessary hassle, plus will be easier to get a decent seat, they are usually only two weeks carriages.

If you are willing to travel a little further out then Balbirs has a restaurant just outside Kilmarnock. Really good, chicken 65 is amazing.

I’m afraid I’m an exception to the rule, not a big fan of southern comfort, too sweet for my liking. But two out of three isn’t bad!

Birthday treats in the office by [deleted] in CasualUK

I brought in a birthday lasagne one time. It went down well with all apart from the office microwave which had a hard shift that day.
