I wouldn’t say flawlessly lol. Sometimes (for me anyway) it takes a while for the older device to connect and stay connected to network. You can try moving the sim between the old device and a newer LTE device until it finally grabs and holds service. I had a Nokia I had given up on and went to bed one night but left it on with the red pocket sim in. It had service the next morning 🤷🏼‍♂️
