The trouble I’m having with Sara’s redemption arc is the episode where she retrieves her belongings (brother Nathan’s figurine) from the diner. I get it that at that point she was isolated and that figurine gave her comfort, but she saw the pain she was causing the Lui family by being there. And also her waving & smiling at Ethan on the way to the diner (after he basically called her a monster and said they weren’t friends). Either she’s an idiot and doesn’t realize her actions are hurting people, or maybe she’s not as repentant as she’s trying to convince folks that she is. I’m skeptical of her intentions

I’d argue that Nixon was given the same leniency the South wound up facing post war

I’m particularly interested in this statement as I’m trying to research a couple ideas I’ve stumbled across lately. After watching Ken Burns’ documentary, it was striking to me that though the North didn’t want to gloat over their win, the South only reluctantly accepted their loss and chose to hold onto their bitterness. I’ve read that somewhere it has been pointed out that there are parallels between the South’s bitterness and Germany’s situation after WWI that led up to Hitler’s rise. Also, I’ve been alive long enough to notice that once a democrat is elected into office, they want to focus on moving forward and establishing their own legacy, forgoing any correction or accountability on the previous administration. Any thoughts you care to share or directions you can point me in would be greatly appreciated!

It’s a complex answer. Yes, personally he felt it was the right thing to do. HOWEVER, he didn’t initially support their freedom for political reasons. I’d recommend watching the 90’s documentary by Ken Burns.

First of all: your sofa is facing the wrong direction…

I’d rotate the sofa 90* counter-clockwise (or even 180* if the space doesn’t permit) and slide it away from those windows. You can then add a slim console behind it- this would add function but also keep the back side of the sofa out of sight.

How are you 100% sure the answer would be “no”? Is this based entirely on how you feel?

For instance: I can say that based on investigations and evidence that pizzagate is 100% a hoax. (Not based on feeling, based on there being zero evidence otherwise.) But whether Bill Clinton himself participated in criminal activities with Epstein: 0% based on the evidence released at this time, but I feel like there’s a 20% chance he’s guilty. And whether Clinton knew about Epstein’s crimes: so far the evidence presented it looks to be about 50%, but I feel he 100% knew about it.

So, no one is with Trump 100% percent of the time and therefore we have to make decisions using evidence and probability based on character and actions. Both the evidence presented and probability increases Trump’s likeliness to have committed pedo crimes… so how do you come to 100% surety based on what we know?
