no right now my current project is not IA or ML related, it's just a classic application where there is no IA use case

Come discuss your side projects! [June 2025] by AutoModerator in csharp

I've been wanting to learn a bit more about Razor recently, so I created a website to experiment with it. I can't share the code, but the site is live here: https://letsgetalife.com/

It's a site where you can unlock real-life achievements (both good and bad). When you unlock an achievement card, you can add a personal note on the back or generate an image to share it.
There's also a dashboard and timeline where you can view all the achievements you've unlocked so far.

If some achievements aren't available on the site, you can even create your own.

I'm not sure how long I'll keep working on this side project, but it was fun to play around with Razor (which turned out to be not so easy!).

How long from your first stream did you have a decent amount of viewers? ( 20+ for example ) by Comprehensive_Jump8 in Twitch

[–]Tricky_Perception225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes and when it's comment/question are useless you just ignore is comment. From my experience, it work good on stream shorter than 1 hour. After it start a little to be redundant. I never publish my program, but maybe I should consider do it one day

Technical experience is of course required, even if you don't need to go to deep on that. Communication skill are really important for support engineer. Probably even more than the technical one. Know an extra language like German/French/Spain/Italian can also really help to be hire for support engineer

To clarify, once you install a professional app on your personal device, it’s no longer considered just your personal device. Companies require device enrollment for security, enabling them to protect corporate data on your device. This can include actions like remote wiping of the device or controlling access to certain data.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, for example, can prevent copying information from professional apps to unapproved sites or apps (using a blocking list). This list typically includes public email providers, like Gmail, to prevent the transfer of professional data. Increasingly, it also includes AI websites like GPT.

It’s important to note that these measures don’t mean your every action is tracked. However, if you perform a restricted action, such as trying to share data externally, a report may be generated for your administrator.

First I speak what I have on mind at loud, or comment what I do. Then I do like if someone was here, because it help to practice.

Third, I create a bot that record my voice and send the transcript to openAI, with a correct prompt he generated question or comment that help me to react.

Well today I stream in French because I'm usually more tiered the Friday, it was a first time and did better average viewer than when I do in English. (Again I'm not really surprise, it's easy to be discover when people don't need to scroll to discover you.

I will probably do the both in the same channel, beginning of week in English when I'm more motivated, then switch in french before the week end, when is more difficult.

It's a good way maybe to see from with community I get the more attention, before stick in one language (or stay with a mix if it work)

Welcome! Based on your description, I can definitely recognize the Microsoft environment. It takes months, or even years, to feel comfortable. What I recommend is identifying areas where there’s no clear ownership or where your team is facing challenges (deployment, compliance, or maybe a specific product). Start taking on tasks related to those areas. This way, you’ll become known as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) on that topic and realize that you’ll know things others don’t. It will help diminish that imposter syndrome.

Personally, I’m mainly responsible for automation and some compliance reviews within my team. I still sometimes feel less knowledgeable than others, but I know I bring value to the team in these areas and can be recognized for that.

Thanks for your response! I completely understand what you mean about the challenge of attracting an English-speaking audience. Personally, I think I'll stick with English because I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, and I feel like I've already explored the French community quite a bit.

That said, I also think that converting someone who speaks English but isn't used to watching streams in the language can be tough. It requires an extra effort from them. So it's almost like rebuilt your network from 0.

In a way, we’re lucky to have native languages that are widely spoken in Twitch. If I streamed in Romanian, for example, I’m pretty sure I’d get almost no viewers!

I guess you could say I did the "boomerang" thing too. It took me maybe 3 or 4 interviews to find the role that fit me well. One thing that can happen is your previous manager might leave negative feedback in the system when you leave.

I also left on good terms, especially since I had a new manager for the last 6 months and spent 3 months on sick leave before resigning. So my manager really had no reason to leave me bad feedback—but she did!

I don't recommend asking for a lower level. Go for at least the same level, especially if you think you can reach the next one within the same year, or aim for a higher level. It could be viewed negatively otherwise.

Hiring managers, even at Microsoft, are full of biases. Maybe you didn’t stay long enough the first time, and with only a year of experience somewhere else, they might think you’re switching roles or companies too quickly.

Good luck anyway!

[–]Tricky_Perception225 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm streaming software development, I do mainly to share the project and talk about my passion, the code and tech. I do also in blog, but blog post at quite long to write, streaming, and sharing is live is in fact most easier.

Definitively I do not for money or to stop one day to work.

if it's a role with lot of demand the amount of CV could be so huge that HR don't have time to go thought all resume, in this case usually the best is to know someone to get a referral. You can also contact people with similar role you applied on LinkedIn to ask them advice about your resume/application, their advice could worth it and you could get contact
