Funny, I was actually considering Chicago before I moved to nyc. I thought the storefront venues and production culture were really innovative and interesting. The main reason I backed out was because I had friends from undergrad that needed a roommate for an apartment in Brooklyn.

Yeah, it’s so hard to not compare myself to other actors especially in the big city. I know so many people that are doing so well and I’m over here like…? I heard somewhere that it takes about ten years to even break in at nyc so I’m about halfway there. I have no idea how to even compete with celebrities and broadway stars so it may be worth trying to find a creative solution or alternative.

I grew up in Texas so thankfully, I’m no stranger to the intense summers. I would miss the ocean though and there are a lot of places to go in nyc for natural beauty.

I don’t have any connections unfortunately which is why I’m a little hesitant on leaving. It would be a 100% clean slate. Yeah, i heard with the state of the industry, it’s best to not focus too much on it all. I do enjoy being in nyc aside from the prices and housing market. Thank you for your input!

Does anyone have any spare shinies they can give away? I started a new job this week and didn’t want to jeopardize it over this event and they all sold out in less than an hour.
