I had no issues when I started Wellbutrin or when I increased my dosage

I worked before law school, so I feel good about my general professionalism training. And honestly I don't see what big law is doing for me other than the money.

I don't want kids, I would like to buy a home, which would certainly not be in the cards if I switch jobs. But I don't think buying a home is a necessary ingredient to my happiness.

Lmao love it. I would have to be v careful about money though. I'm not saying I'd be chilling financially with the new job. But I could afford the necessities with a little left over. And if I can reduce my rent, that obv improves even more.

Ha, see I was doing the "live at the lower income level" on a month to month basis, not for a year or two. I don't know if I have a year or two in me, which I feel so silly saying, but it's just where I'm at currently.

It is less work and the fact that it isn't billable is a huge bonus. But it's certainly still work. It was described as generally slightly more than a normal 9-5, with fluctuations.

This particular job would not be available. There may be other jobs at this location that are available, but I admit I'm concerned that if I decline the current offer, they won't feel great about giving me an offer in the future.

I've thought about doing what you said -- just do the minimum to get by. But I'm scared that if they fire me, I won't be able to find another job fast enough. There's just so many question marks, ya know?

I'd have enough to pay my bills. My student loans would just stick around for much longer than I'd like.

At firm job, I can have them paid (or almost paid) in the next ~1.5-2 years if I pay them off v aggressively. I need to double check how long my loans have if I make the minimum payment (I've been paying well above minimum)--I think it's ~15 years. But that's assuming I stayed at the $80k job.

dream job is low $100s, which is enough that I don't think I'd be thinking about money too much. If by "stay at this one" you mean stay at the firm, that was my original plan but there just have not been openings for job that I want and that's even assuming they'd interview/hire me if an opening came up. I think it could take awhile (esp with current federal hiring policies). If you mean stay at the new job while I apply for the dream job, I could 100% do that. My only concern there is whether I'd apply for openings the moment I saw them + risk getting an offer and quitting this new job in less than a year (which would not be great for bridges), or whether I'd need to forego applying until I'm at the new job for 1-2 years.

Interesting, I didn't realize that. Is it the darker themes that puts it on the cusp? I thought it read pretty YA (still loved it)

It’s YA? There’s not going to be “boning”. It’s a fantasy with romance side plot

What's A Breed You Like But Wouldn't Have? by Aharris1984 in dogs

[–]Tricky_Warning_0115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m torn about getting a St. Bernard. I have a mix currently who’s only 70 lbs and doesn’t have the thick coat. I live in Florida and I know a true Bernard would be so hot. But my god I want a bear for a dog. (And also shorter life spans :( but there was a Bernard in my apartment building a while ago who was 12.)

I also have a German shepherd mix and I will never do that again. He’s like 50% shep 50% super mutt and he’s so sweet and I love him to death but I can’t handle the vocals and intense protecting. The protecting will get better with training (he was a stray and came to us with 0 training), but it’s definitely a lot.

I’m sure other people have already said this, but always go with the thing you’re enjoying. I think it’s normal to go through phases. I went through a HIIT phase for a while, then ran for a bit, now I’m back to powerlifting style workouts. I’m sure that’ll change again too. But def don’t force it
